LOL Mary, meanwhile I have had people ask me about mine! I'm a little greedy though I only tell theme where they could get them (wouldn't sell them). But then again never say never, I could change my mind!

Hi Ladies,

I'm trying to determine what to charge for decorated wooden picture frames (5x7) and altered composition books.

Thanks in advance!

Begining to think this carnival party birthday party was is a little over my capability. Five days to get it all done. No time for crafting at the moment!

I started making some glass marbles today. Sometimes you have to take a break from the other crafts that you are doing so you don't get tired of them. And I have had a headache all day so I figured I'd do something that requires little thought. LOL

Hello, hello, hello there.

It is so good to be back here with the nicest bunch of crafters and craft fair sellers. Thank you all so very much for keeping these threads so prominent in the forum. They are my main sources of inspiration and help as I prepare for the Christmas fairs. I am sure it will take me a couple of days to catch up on all your posts. This year I hope to participate, post where possible and enjoy all the fun and inspiration to be found here.

Thanks again,
Anne

I've been working on Christmas Planners made from Comp. Books. I also took a little break and used up some scraps to make mini comp and mini spiral notebooks. I signed up for a sale the end of September, so I am trying to keep busy!!!

For those of you altering Composition books either size. Do you put sentiments on them? If so what do you put on them. I have done "Notes", "Dreams" in the past, but looking for something else. So any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!

I have a stamp set for notebooks that has words like notes, big ideas, etc. So I'm doing some with and some without. Same with the little ones.

I have this great set, Take Note, from Papertrey that I've used too many times to count!

It works for all size notebooks, especially the little skinny ones made with a Jr. Legal pad cut in half. I highly recommend it.

I don't have a stamp set for Notes, Jot This Down and so on, but I have printed some up using Word onto white cardstock, then punched out the sayings and used them on various notebooks, pads etc.

I found an old Stampin Up set Elegant Cheer that has "Just a Note" in it. I have done them on the computer and printed them out as well. Just wondering what other sentiments people were using. I do also like that set from papertrey, but just can't justify spending $24 plus shipping, especially since I am a SU demo! Maybe some day...

I think I did Notes, Jot this down, Don't Forget, Remember this, Take Note. Whatever relates to note-taking! You could just do Shopping List or My List etc. It's easy to change the type of font (I down-loaded a few free ones the other day) and size of font, so there's a variety to choose from. I used mostly circles to cut mine, but if you stick with straight lines, you'll fit alot more on a page.

This is the one I have too and I CAN'T FIND IT!! Its not where it belongs. I've used it one time, not too long ago, so today is dedicated to organizing and finding that set. I did do some teacher stuff yesterday, which turned out cute. Set from PaperTrey.

Found it! I did some dry erase boards today. Found 5x7 acrylic frames at dollar store that are flat and have a magnet on back to stick to fridge, etc. I had bought some dry erase markers there too. BUT I found that the black ones do not come off very well, it leaves a residue. The other colors were fine and a black from Target was fine too. These were the little ones, three to a pack. Just passing this along in case you have some of them.

I am going to be participating in a church craft fair in late Sept. I don't normally do many craft fairs. I am wondering what you ladies think would do well? I was planning on doing tags, cards, maybe some tiles? I am not sure what will sell, Any Ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Okay I have a question. I know I've seen this on here somewhere or hoping at least someone can help me out. How does one stamp on tiles?? I tried it the other day and after a day my ink was still wet and one of the designs had spread way across the tile. Is there a certain type of tile you have to use? Or a special treatment one needs to put down?? I'm going hunting to see if I can locate the answers !! Thanks for any help.

Really need to watch what type of tile and ink you use. If its a slick tile, ink needs to be permenent. If its more porous, then other inks work well. But watch that video and there is a tutorial on this site as well

Check the resources section on SCS. These are pretty easy to do. You will need to use Stazon, otherwise if the tiles get wet, the ink will smear. You can also use craft ink. I have had the best luck with Stazon, then colored with pastels and sprayed with Krylon spray.

I sell the same things at all my sales which are in Oct and Nov generally. Coaster tiles, trivets, bookmarks, note books, candy stuff (MM sticks, nugget bags, pepermint patty bags), dry erase boards, calendars, gift tags. Magnets are new for me this year.

Some things I will do for a seasonal look (candy, candles), some are for just general use any time (tiles, coasters, calendars).

For my Oct sales, I will have some Halloween and Fall stuff, but I still have Christmas stuff too. When I go to sales in oct I'm looking for Christmas gifts.

Many of my items are year-round items. The only seasonal stuff I really do is xmas. Have a look at my facebook page. I put pics there instead of the gallery.
Good luck!

Diane - did you have to do anything different to do a 'business' Facebook page? I'm thinking of doing that instead of a blog to get my work 'out there' a bit and do some advertising for upcoming craft fairs. Any info you can share or direct me to would be greatly appreciated!

Anyhow found a good deal on those BIG paper clips!! Got 4 ( 4") for 50 cents at a WalMart bargain box!!!Now I need to go looking for the tut on what to do with them. I bought 4 packs and if these work out will go digging to see if I can find more--they are colored ones but hey at that price they are worth it!!

Hi all!

I have a question: Remember the snowman chocolate bars that were such a hit last year? Should I make them again or make something different, like a santa suit? Or some of both.

I am doing almost all the same craft sales as last year, except for one.

Thanks, in advance, for your advice!

I am always amazed that these continue to do well for me. I have sold them 3 years in a row and still sell out at same shows. I use different fleece each year. That's it.

I am trying to come up with a new design this year though...just not sure what. A penguin would be cute but I am not too good with creating graphics from scratch.

Different how?
I had nothing online until this past year. Customers at every show were asking for a website, and suggesting I do a facebook page. Finally, I started it. Creating a new page is easy. I ahve now learned how to add the photos, but still hate the "timeline" format of Facebook.
I hope it LOOKS like I know what I am doing!!

Alot of people ask if I am on Etsy but I don't like their marketing plan of paying for every post. Although my teenager did set us up for an account on Etsy. I haven't added anything to it yet.

I have seen others who have payment by paypal connected to their Facebook pages, but I don't know how to do that. If anyone else knows, please share!!

I was going to do a blog, but it is so complicated - with all the computer codes to get images connected, etc. It is overwhelming to me.
Hope that helps.

'Different how" - I guess I meant if you had to pay for it or if it just operated under different rules than a 'normal' Facebook page. On a thread here, people who had facebook pages were asking people to like their page and once they got a certain number of lines (25 or so I thought) then they had more options on their site? But I didn't see what they were talking about for that.

I think a Facebook page would be a good way to get my stuff 'out there' so I think I'm gonig to give that a try. I have my personal Facebook page too.

I need to get more 'tech savy' to live in this day and age!

I did look at the paypal stuff before, they have some information on their site on setting things up and how it works, but I can't help you much there since I pretty much forgot what I read before.
