Well, I was hoping for a little better but we made $47. There weren't a lot of people there mostly the other vendors were shopping so I can't complain too much, but we were hoping for $100. Again, it was for 2 hours so...

The best seller...the snowman candy bars! Those went really quick! The other top seller was the altered comp books. I sell mine for $5.00

Had some lookie-loos who were whispering to each other and one came by and even asked if she could steal my ideas. She was really nice and I appreciated her honesty. We ended up talking shop so I enjoyed that "shopper".

My next one is Nov 19th so we'll see how that one goes.

Thanks!

I haven't done a lot of these - and certainly don't have the experience that most of you have had. . .however I would say that the other vendors at the sale I was at in October were great. We all talked with each other (between customers) and even hugged when it was over. Now, we shall see what happens at the December sale at the same site with the same vendors. . . But mostly we do different venues so I don't think anyone will be duplicating anything I have.

Dorlene,
That is funny you said you enjoy talking shop. During the market in the summer I had many card makers come by and I also enjoyed talking about some of my techniques. I gave out many online sites and should be getting kick backs from them. ha ha ha, I also made a new friend that buys my cards as templates but she has been so busy that she is just going to buy my cards to give out this Christmas. I think that is a great testament.

Default coloring card kits for kids

I am working on these and need some help with packaging and pricing. I am putting 5 in a kit with envelopes. Where do you find your crayons. I just need certain colors--about 5 for the set.
I would love to see a picture of a set done up also, please.

I love the lip balm purses and I am following Frenchies youtube video and missing a step as I can't for the life of me figure out how she is doing the crease in the square. Would anyone have any tips for getting this right? I have 2 fairs the first 2 weeks of December plus selling items at work. I knowI can do well with the lip balm purses if I can figure out the crease. Thanks for alla the wonderful ideas shared here.

Just got home awhile ago from a craft fair. The mini snowmen were the hit of the day! I added a little headband and also a little scarf. I first used a thin strip of felt for the scarf but that didn't work all that well for tying. Ended up using scrappers floss - and that did the trick! Now I need to make more for this next weekend too! You can see them here....

Thanks bunches to everyone who mentioned these and for those supplying the links and templates!

How wonderful. I can see why they were such a hit because they are soooo darn cute. Great job! Did you sell them individually or in sets. What was your price point?

Well done Rita. Your snowmen are real cute.
I'm made 62 long skinny altered notebooks today. Planning to make 50 snowmen tomorrow. So off to bed now to get some rest.
Looking foward to reading in the morning how you all got on at the fairs today.

Find her blog and go to where she posts the purse project. She has a picture of the inside of the purse that helped me tons. I don't know if I can explain this right, but if you look at the picture, it might make sense.

I thought you folded the side where the square forms from the scoring, but you don't. You basically make a new score by using that score line and pulling the paper across.

Look at the video, look at the blog pictures but if you still can't figure it out let me/us know. And I'll try to explain it better (or maybe someone here with better words can do it - its kind of hard to explain). I almost gave up until I went to the blog, then I got it.

My one and only craft fair this year has been canceled due to rain. I was preparing to go, hoping that the rain would hold off. My friend, Heidi King, and I were sharing the booth and now we have a TON of stuff to sell. We'll figure something out...

I made:

24 Magic Reindeer Food (Martha Stewart) test tubes
33 Rudolph's Spares in tins
40 Christmas m&m sticks
13 Nugget Tins
13 Popcorn/Movie containers
12 altered Frappuccino bottles
10 composition books with matching pens
3 altered clipboards with matching pens
8 Santa/Snowman ceramic containers with bags of covered nugget tins in them
2 altered shadowbox frames
A bunch of miscellaneous $2 items

Since I can't show you a picture of my booth set-up, I thought I'd show you the picture of my packed car...

I had my first craft sale yesterday. I sold out of mini candy bar snowmen (had eighteen)and Popcorn holders (had ten) within the first 5 minutes of the sale! Luckily I had brought along more snowmen to work on while I was there, so I was able to replenish. Wish I had more popcorn holders as she wanted more of those as well. My daughter (who is made snowman soup and I decorated the packages. we made 18, sold 12.
Some other great sellers:
Post it note Purses
Spiral noteboob with matching pens
Post it note frames
Bookmarks and Corner bookmarks
Little boxes made with Stampin' Up's Fancy Favors box, filled with candy- Made 18 sold 12.
Altered Starbucks bottles filled with candy

I cleared $170.50. Up from last year so i was happy!! I have a 2 day sale coming up in 2 weeks so I have to replenish.

I also had made some holiday planners with cute Penguin paper I have had forever. A lady was oohing and aahing over them and bought one, her friend bought another. They are just going to use them for everyday, not holiday.
I had a few cards out, but didnt sell any, although I had a request for some thanksgiving ones. That woman is coming out to my next sale to get them then. Another lady had out cards on her table. I mostly did stocking stuffer/teacher gifts. She kept glaring at me because she wasn't selling her cards. At the end I had gone over and asked her where she got her rack for her cards, and she pretty much bit my head off. I don't know why people are like that??

People can be so strange at times

Here's where I bought my card rack from:

Catalog Results

I think shipping was about $10...not sure. They are out of Chicago and shipping was pretty fast.

Here are a few things I made for my church Christmas bazaar:

Mini Easels
Smarties bottles
Mint Chocolate tins
Hersheys Chocolate tins
note card tins
Post it note stands
10 sets of 6 Christmas cards & 7 sets of 6 other cards (which you can see the individual cards in my gallery)

I hope they all sell, as I am donating them all for sale.

I sold each package of 3 mini snowmen for $2.00. (I estimated the cost to be just shy of 50 cents.)

After seeing your snowman, I decided to try to make some with the "sweatband". I used the ribbed cuff of the gloves I had cut the fingers off, and it looks really cute. I just folded the raw edges under, I didn't bother sewing it closed. Thanks for the inspiration!

Those sound cute too Judi... the little headbands/sweatbands are so easy to make on these little ones and add so much more to them!

Sorry to hear that Christel! Hope you get another venue to sell your lovely creations!

I'd my first fair of the season last Saturday and I'd $150 in sales, way more than what I'd last year so I was very happy!

The lip balm purses were a huge hit and so were the post-it holders (as always!). Here are the details:

Lip blam purses - sold 14 of 20 for $2.50 or 2/$4
Post-it holders - sold 13 of 15 for $3 or 2/$5
Cocoa pouches - sold 10 of 17 for $2 or 2/$3
Cards - sold 7 (4 thanksgiving + 3 christmas) - $2.50 or 3/$6
Composition and spiral books - sold 6 of 12 for $3 or 2/$5
Coffee cup gift card holders - sold 3 of 5 for $3 or 2/$5
Beanie gift card holders - sold 2 of 5 for $3 or 2/$5
Stocking gift card holder - didn't sell any
Purse gift card holder - didn't sell any
wallet gift card holder - didn't sell any

The 2-For deals helped a lot. Many a times people were picking just one and they saw the 2-For so picked in multiples of 2.

As always there were lots of people there just for the ideas - in fact some bought a piece of that item so that they could make in bulk I find it so rude when people feel your items right in front of you to figure out how they can duplicate them!!
