Does anyone know where to get a really cheap black or neutral colored sheet for my table covers? Walmart had a twin set (pillowcase, flat sheet and fitted sheet) for $10 in an almost-black color. Any other ideas? I don't want to use the cheap paper or plastic table covers so I'm looking for sheets
Are you near a Bed Bath & Beyond? I was in there recently and they had individual sheets in the mix and match section. I don't remember seeing black, but you could call and ask.

Hey girl, I bought mine at WM too, it was sold single, and it was like $4. I bought the full size, so it drapes nicely over the tables. (and I can hide stuff underneath! )

Thanks for posting this question! I too was planning to ask that
Has anyone applied a photo to a candle before? I'm making favors for a cousin's baptism and thought it would be cute to stamp one side and put a photo of the baby on the other. Can I get some instructions if anyone has tried this?
TFS!! Guess I am headed back to staples on Sunday. They also have their dry erase boards for $2 ea. reg $5 I have a couple in my gallery that I have done and want to do a few more.

Hi Katie,
Was just at Walmart and they have flat twin sheets for $3. Let me know if you still can't find them by you and I can send you some. Wondering what the black dust ruffle would look like on the table....hmmmmm.

Thanks so much!
Applying photos to candles is pretty close to how you do the stamps on candle. Print your image on tissue paper and then apply it to the candle as you would a stamped image on tissue paper.

So...I went shopping today hoping to find some good back to school deals...being most of the kids have gone back to school. No such luck. I did...however...find that staples had their store brand mini comp books bundled 2 for $1 and binder clips pack of 24 for $1 if you only bought 2 packs. I bought them out of comp books...and I think with what I already have for binder clips...I think this rounded me off well. I'm going to stick to walmart post it's because they seem to be the cheapest. I'm going to do an October fair and this will be my first. I've made cards (singles & sets), bookmarks, post it holders, gift card holders, tile sets, mini notebooks and treat bags that I'll fill the week before so that the candy is fresh. There is a hard candy mix that you can get from CVS for $1.50 a bag. I'm working on magnets and calendars. I'm trying to decided if I want to design my own calendar and have it printed at the copy shop...then it'll have to be cut...or just buy the calendars that I've seen a link for here somewhere. I'm leaning on just buying them...save time and maybe even money. as far as the magnets I'm using up my old pressed bottle caps and adding cute animals or flowers stamped then adding UTEE to fill. I'm not sure what to sell them for...but as I don't have to buy anything new I almost want to just sell them for $1 each. My booth fees will be free as this is a new venue that is hoping to have a fair once a month with farmers market. If I can get enough product I would love to be a regular before she realize she can charge for her booth spaces...lol. I'm also going to be doing some homemade jelly lables being that it's a farmers market...just to try them out. Ok...enough chitter chatter...I'm off to cut paper. Happy Stamping.
Lisa,
What a great variety, that should make your booth a MUST STOP!! Good luck!
In case anyone is interested, I was able to find m & m bags (1 x from GTZip.com. Price was $5 for 100 bags but shipping was only $4.95. I found this to be way better than ClearBags or GT.

Hmmm...got mine at GT - 100 for $4.00 and shipping was still $4.95. Do I live really close or something?

So I'm waiting for my hubby to return from the grocery store. He's picking up some Ziploc bags for me so I can package my stamped coasters. I have a craft booth tomorrow at a street fair so I thought I would write up a post with what I'm selling while I wait
This is what I'm selling and the prices I'm selling them for. I didn't count how many of each I have, but I will keep track as I sell things so I have an idea of what sells and what doesn't.
Flower Pens $1.00
Large Composition Notebooks $5.00
Covered Lollipops $0.50
Post-It Note Holders $3.00
Gift Card Holders $1.00
Stamped Coasters $5.00 (2 per pkg)
Pencil Boxes $2.00
Altered Picture Frames $10.00
Light Switch Plates $2.00
Marble Magnets $1.00
Tooth Fairy Tins $2.00
Cards (varied) $1 to $4 each
I plan on taking pictures of my booth as I've done a lot to improve it since the last time I had a craft show.

Wow, so far I have 34 different types of things I'm selling (that number includes a few different mini albums)! Goodness. I have a tax sheet set up so my real prices for stuff is kinda wacky (like $3.04 for dog treat boxes) so that with tax it comes out to an even number ($3.25). I just applied for my sales tax business license yesterday...kind of a confusing process, hope I did it right
I will have to check out Wal-Mart again and see if I can find the sheets. If I can't I will hit you up tat2girl, thank you for offering!

Have a great day tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing your pics!
I am planning to make laminated bookmarks this year for the craft shows I am doing. However, I'm not sure on how to price them. I'd sure appreciate some advice!
And thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum!

I used to sell mine for 2.50 ea. Last year with the slower sales at craft shows do to the economy I put a sign up for 2.50 ea or 2 for $4. Pics are in my gallery from last years show and the year before a few pages back. Hope this helps.

lol, 'cause i'm a craft junky. i have a serious craft addiction. i am trying really hard to use up the majority of my stash. and just find maybe three hobbies instead of about ten. i cross-stitch, sew, crochet, jewelry, tumble rocks, and last year found this site and started collecting rubber stamps. (i say collect cause i have bought about 20 sets and only made four cards..lol).
i have been good though, 'cause i have resisted candle making, soap making and making my own laundry soap. but they look so fun.......
And when do you find time to .....anything... I feel your pain as I am the same way..I am getting ready for my very first ever craft show in Oct and love this site just for inspiration alone, not to mention the fellowship

Sounds like you are going to do great! Let us know! Cant wait to see pictures!
I tried there but when I did the estimate on shipping, it was $14+. So was ClearBags.
Interesting. I bought 200 bags and shipping was only $4.95 still. Did you click on 100 and not the 1000? I just entered up to 10 and the shipping was still only $4.95!

I hear you. That's the million dollar question: TIME, time, where does it go so fast??
Applying photos to candles is pretty close to how you do the stamps on candle. Print your image on tissue paper and then apply it to the candle as you would a stamped image on tissue paper.
how do you print a picture on tissue paper? Do you tape it to a piece of paper?
how do you print a picture on tissue paper? Do you tape it to a piece of paper?
I've seen stick glue used around the edges of the printer paper and the tissue paper placed on top. I also have seen 3M photo mount spray used on a sheet of copy paper and the tissue placed on top of that. I had just gathered this information, because I am thinking of making Christmas gifts for the grandparents using this technique.
Ok people went to staples and they had no limit on the 1.00 post its, I got 5 could have gotten more but wanted to save some for those that can't shop on Sunday. Good luck!
Went to staples and there was no limit on the 12 pack of staples brand sticky notes for $1. They had ten packs so I bought ten packs. Will probably go again this week to stock up for next year after I figure out how many I will need. I have a total of 15 altered large comp books and matching acrylic 4x6 post it note holders done. I like the way they look as a set and thinking about selling them as a gift set. Has anyone done sets before?
