Cristal: Loved your V-Day candy stix! THEN, I noticed the Sneak Peek link you have on your blog.....are these two items REALLY available for purchase?? They're stinkin' CUTE!!!!
Kat
Kat,
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, the paper and stamp set will be available in the new Stampin' Up! catalog (July), but you can get them this month with a $20 purchase. You still have to pay for them, but you get to have them early. Plus, the cost of Stampin' Up!'s DSP is going up, but it's still $9.95 for that pack during this promotion.

Wow...that's AWESOME! I need to re-work my monthly budget....spent more than I should have last week on the last day of SAB ~ now I need to figure out how to free up some more $$ for these. I really LOVE that paper and I can see so many uses for that label stamp set in conjunction with the new label punch (which I don't have YET either!)...
Thanks!! BTW, I love the stuff in your gallery!

Yeah, I love that punch and the stamp set makes it amazingly easy to make a quick nice card. I really need to update my gallery more. I am just trying to get back in to blogging.
I was thinking about some teacher appreciation gifts...anyone have any new ideas? I have post it note holders, acrylic post it note holder, altered file folder, was thinking of making a lunch pail with thank you cards in it with a teacher theme...I like the idea of school colors, besides graduation cards, what else would you do with the school colors on it?
Thanks again, you gals are AWESOME!

for teacher appreciation-how about gift card holders. so many love to give them to teachers.
as for other ideas-i'm blank right now. working on a shoebox for tomorrow(17 girls).then a huge one at the end of the month-85+! haven't even started that on. over 200 items to make!
for school ideas. try our gallery. search school year/end???
maybe check card mags. or family fun mag. they might be online
I saw the stationary box...think that might be good for Teacher's Appreciation and Mother's Day.
Thinking of incorporating a bookmark with a gift card holder for those that might want to give a gc to a bookstore.
I am also going to make some altered comp. Books into journals and make a teacher themed wish lish altered notepad.

I am definately making book marks...love the idea of summer reading journal and the reading related bookmarks. I think I am going to make ribbon bookmarks, corner bookmarks, and paperclip bookmarks. Also post it note holders as matchbooks and the ones with the mini gel pen. I am hoping to make the clothespin magnets and the pebble magnets, if I can find a glue the will work ...made some and the paper peeled right off the pebble....arrgghh! So back to the drawing board on that one. I am trying to come up with an altered notepad that has a teacher's wishlist type of thing going on...lol...I am also hoping to make some baby themed items and birthday themed items.

I use crystal effects to glue both the paper to the magnet and the pebble to the paper. I've never had a problem with them coming apart.
I followed Kerry's instructions Laminated Bookmarks: Tutorial for making the laminated bookmarks for my craft fair last week. They went over pretty well. Mine were basically for kids. I'll do more of a variety for the next fair.
Trying to post pics, but my picture sizing is all wrong. stay tuned.

just got done with 10 altered note pads (the large ones, cut in half, after the end was cut off where the pink line is along the one side) they are like shopping lists. Not sure if I should put a magnet on the back or not. May make matching pens. Tomorrow I will start on the bookmarks.

Do you know if they have Crystal Effects at Micheals or JoAnns? What about glossy accents, do you think they will work?
Thanks!
Kristin
Not sure about the glossy accents. Maybe try a few and then really "abuse" them after they've dried for a few days. Tim Holtz (swoon) swears by it, so give it a shot.

I will try it and see. Will let you know if it works out....or not. I don't know where to get the Crystal Effects. Let me know if anyone knows where to get it.

I too am an equal opportnity lover of crafting stuff. Has your demo shown you the new Four Frames stamp set that you can get this month? It's going to be in the new catalog (released in July) and it coordinates with the Decorative Label Punch. There is a gallery started for the stamp set, you can see it here.
Where in PA are you? My husband grew up in Strasburg, Lancaster County. I am pretty sure that we will move back there someday...
I am in Southwestern PA in a small community called Alverton. I am pretty sure we are going to move away from PA some day...lol...I can't wait to get that set! I have been putting together an order for her, this is added to it! LOL...
I have seen the stamp set, I am so excited about it!

I have written a couple of poems for you. I am not sure if you want serious or humorous so I have written one of each. Hope they are of use to you. Would love to see a picture if you use them.
Cheers,
Sharon
When the world wearies,
Or life is just slow.
When all your worries
Just seem to grow,
Enjoy this candy,
And know I’m thinking of you,
And wishing you well,
In all that you do.
“Treated quickly, sweetie!
Is what you need!”
The doctor said,-
He did, indeed!
So I found this jar of candy
Which I thought would do the trick.
So take some daily-
Doctor’s orders!
Be quick!
I like these...may use them myself! I am making some get well packets and may make some just to cheer you or thinking of you as well. I know I wasn't the one who asked, but do you mind if I use them too? I have a few ideas floating around my head...

That's fine with me, but I would love to see what you do with them!
I will check out my Staples and see if the price is the same. Thanks for posting your price!
I am hoping to get things done this weekend...lol...with 5 kiddos that is a crap shoot...so we will see! LOL....Hoping to get post-it note holders, coasters, and a few gift sets. Looking thru the gallery for some ideas...I think I am going to do the binder clips with matching post-it note holder (made with a chipboard coaster and small binder clip), and matching clipboard (the small one). Not sure how much to ask for them though...also hoping to make some matching gift bag, tag, and card sets.

Ok, I never got a response to my previous post so trying again
I need a suggestion from you ladies - I've seen people here mention that they package the cocoa mix sachets and sell them; but I've never seen anybody mention coffee sachets. I was thinking that it would be nice to package Starbucks Via coffee sachets and sell them just like cocoa with some poem, etc. Especially because I've seen more people who're coffee lovers than cocoa lovers. But I wasn't sure if it was a no-no because of it's caffeine or something else. Any opinions?
What about using the coffee bags that come like tea bags. Its not instant, its sort of steeped like a cup of tea. should work.
That is something I am trying at my next craft fair. I have a few coffee related stamps and I am going to make the coffee holders, just like the hot cocoa holders....with stamps like "thanks a latte" and such. I have a set I got from The Angel Company that is perfect for this, also one that is great for the tea pockets. If anyone is interested, I can send you a catalog!

Doing my first craft show in 2 weeks, and of course its after Easter. I have made comp books, post it note holders, gift card holders, and skinny notepads. What else should I make to sell?

Things that you can market as teacher gifts and wedding gifts...
I think these B&B hand sanitizer holders are toooo cute! (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ccY8AiJs4r...0/IMG_2904.JPG) Mine would not be stamped and then hand cut - I have the Mini Monsters Cricut cart and would use that to save time. If the hand sanitizer itself costs $1 or $1.50 (depending on if it is on sale) how much would you charge?
They are cute!! Mini Monsters sounds like a great idea. Around $2.50-$3.00 sounds OK.
Hi Ladies,
I have been working up the nerve to do a craft show and I am finally going to do it thanlks to all of your inspiration! I just wanted to share one of my projects since Spring crafts are so challenging. I decorated some coasters and added beads to the hanging wire, they are pretty easy and fun to make. Making Today Better Than Yesterday: Take that Procrastination!
ok, so I am still trying to `get ready for my craft show on May 1. I completed a lunchtin (decorated it) and made dividers for it (for card categories). However, I have NO idea how much to sell it for. Anyone havce any ideas?
