Sure. I only remembered to take pics at my first show. This was last year and it was my first time selling at craft shows.
Some of these items I decided not to make this year.

What is in a shopping survival kit?

Default What do you think of these?

Gorgeous! I have a cricut too but haven't had time to do anything with it. My kids lost the booklet (they tear into my pkgs with excitement too). I think it was my oldest who was 19 at the time! He was the child that would be happy to receive gift wrapped cardboard boxes with nothing in them. Or would unwrap the present and walk away! LOL! I should be crafting now but am enjoying getting caught up on this new thread! Maria

Default Bag toppers

One thing that I tried with staples was that I stapled the cello bag (without self sealing) and then glued the topper using double sided tape. You can see them in my snowman kisses (have attached the photo again).

Though I'm not yet sure whether I like these more than where I staple along with the topper.

I am sorry if this has been answered...

How much are you selling your M&M Candy Stixs for at your craft show?

TIA

Hmmm. I llike the idea of a topper for the snowman kisses. I was lazy but still wanted mine packaged so this is what I did.

Everyone's work is so great! Thanks for posting pictures. I will be posting soon, I promise! Nothing new, just different takes on things.

I did the tic tac mints too, but I wanted to do mine differently. I wrapped paper around them, instead of making the jacket. I THOUGHT it would be easier and quicker and still be cute (snowman with belly punched out so you can see the white mints which I think is ADORABLE!). Well, they were a pain in the a-- to make. I'm charging $20 for each one just because they were frustrating! Well, not really, I'm over it now, but when I was done with them that's the amont I was charging.

I made notebooks last night and went back and forth on adhesives. I tried paper cement, new to me, and I liked it but it stinks. And on some items, it didn't make the paper STAY, it would peel up.

So I went back to modge podge and that worked, but on one the paper buckled. Also, I made a total mess when I use that stuff.

Then I used the mono multi glue and I really really like that stuff, but you have to get it to the end of the notebook, but I got as close as I can. That glue really is good glue.

Then I used the red line tape (Scor Tape actually) and of course that works great. I am ordering more of that stuff and just sticking (huh a joke!) with that. I don't want to worry about paper lifting off the corners of books that I am trying to sell.

Some paper seemed to be stuck solid, others would lift. No rhyme or reason in each batch I made with the modge podge and paper cement. I also used rubber cement but by that time, I was ready to just switch to the tape.

I kind of think too it is the type of notebook I used. I was using comp books and they are a shiny finish (a bit shiny at least) to them, than say a notebook that has a matte finish. Then I went to those little notebooks that Michael's sells in their dollar spot (has a pen attached to them) and those are very shiny. The paper cement worked great on the coasters I used, cause they were unsealed.

I have three sales coming up and I started calculating what I have made so far and I am ready for proably two sales! So I guess I'll be crafting my butt off in the next week.

My first craft booth is this weekend. How much should I sell these for?

A night on the town is certainly proof,
Pumpkins were watching,
while you made a goof,
Tricking not treating
is your game.
Your pumpkins at home
were thinking the same.
So, when you get home this
you must do check your shoes for pumpkin pooh.

TIA!

hi ladies - loving all the idea so far. I have to try those Snowman Kisses - they are super cute!

Wanted to share some Nugget Tins. I had stolen the idea of doing the "Santa's Belly" candy bar sliders last year - I believe several people on here had versions of it. I decided to do some Nugget Tins this year that also had this theme. I have a post & a video on how to do this on my blog:

Kerry’s Paper Crafts » Craft Fair Goodies: Santa’s Belly Nugget Tins + Video

I plan on selling these for $5 or $6 each. I've sold Nugget Tins in the past at fairs & they always sell well. It's a lot of chocolate (12 Nuggets Total) so I have not had a problem selling for that price.

Default Which table to choose?

ok ladies I must admit that I was sleeping all the time when you were discussing all-things-table because I thought my shows are providing the table. Turns out that one does but the other doesn't. So waking up from my sleep, I see this table at Home Depot Lifetime Products White Granite 6 Ft. Fold-in-half Table - 25011.0 at The Home Depot but I'm thinking how would one use bed risers with it? What kind of tables do you get?

When I covered composition books, I roughed the covers up with a little sand paper first, before using mod podge - a thin coat on both the book AND the DP. It seems to have held up preety well - made a bunch of books for my women's Bible Study group.

I have my first show of the season this Saturday. I don't usually do fall shows, so we will see how it goes.

Here are some pics of my Mini Composition Books, Gift Card Purses, and Beaded Pens.
I am actually remembering to take pics of things this year!

To make it so shoppers dont have to bend over to look at your items- and to bring them closer to eye level.

Walmart has this one that I just got. I bought it for $44.00 from my Walmart. It's showing $39.00 online. It folds in half and has a carrying handle!

Very nice packaging, Diane. I like that you used all black for the toppers of the mini comp books. I think I'll finish out doing that, too. I spent so much time late last night/early this morning getting them to all match pretty, pretty and I have to say that yours look very classy! And I bet you got more sleep than me, too!

speaking of...I'm calling it a night - earliest all week. guess I'll get up early to finish whatever's left to do. Set up is tomorrow night, gosh, I hope I'm ready. I'll post pics on Sunday.

Last question, did anyone use the "shopping baskets" for their customers? How did that work out? I have three, but not sure if I'll use them.

I've been in the craft business for 20 years and I have never heard of anyone using bed risers for their tables. Seems to me that might be a safety issue making the table unstable.

ok...I'm doing another craft fair this weekend. I didn't think I would be doing another one this month. I've been looking for more...but haven't really found one. A friend called me and asked if I wanted to share some booth space...he's selling T-shirts and didn't need a lot of room. I gladly jumped up and said yes. It's a little over an hour away...but I don't mind...I haven't seem him in so long...it'll be worth it. Now...I have 1 day to decide what I need more of. ugh
Have a good night all.

Hmmmm...well they are actually VERY stable if you have them set up right. I have been doing it for the last 5 years or so with NO problems. I have received a lot of nice feedback on the height of the tables as well. Much easier to see everything if it is closer to eye level.

Although, I think this year I may go with the PVC pipes to save on storage space. Carrying around 12 bed risers (3 tables) takes up a lot of room!

My first craft show is tomorrow! It's been very well advertised around the city so I'm hoping there's going to be a good turnout. It's supposed to rain all day so I'm hoping people will want to be inside and browsing. I have a lot of stuff made and will be going to set it all up tonight. My friend is coming along to give me a hand. Hopefully I'll have good things to report tomorrow!

I like the way you packaged everything. I had not thought about bagging the beaded pens, but I may do that. That is, if I ever get around to making any!

Good luck with your show!

Yeah, I was thinking that I should rough them up to make all of the liquid adhesives I've been trying work better. I don't like putting Modge Podge on both book and paper though, cause I seem to have more 'buckling' problem with the paper though. I really don't have a problem with Modge Podge not sticking, its the buckling that drives me nuts.

Diane, loved your mini comp books! And your pkg'd beaded pens!

Thanks for sharing everyone, now I have to start making my projects!

Diane, love the way you added the curling ribbon to your packaging. It looks so appealing!

Beautiful work, Diane! What a brilliant idea to use black for the toppers. It coordinates so well with the book binding, and solves the "matching paper" problem.

I'm not doing shows this year, but making lots of comp books for Christmas gifts and will use your idea. I don't cover the binding on my books, so this will work great!

Good Luck! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Thanks Jenn! I don't have a Walmart near me but I see that Lowes has a similar table so I'll go get that!

Kerry - you rock girl! I had been thinking about making nugget boxes but was not looking forward to all that cutting, scoring and folding. I was hemming and hawing about spending the money on the tins...til I saw these on your blog (which I love). Those sealed the deal and I ordered them yesterday. They are so cute! Another awesome creation! TFS!

Seems there's a lot of fairs tomorrow - I hope they go well for everyone.

Dianne I love the way you've packages the items. It takes a simple pen and turns it into a fabulous mini present!

Bugga it's a shame you're not doing any fairs this year - you gave me loads of inspiration last year with your wares!
