I got lost in your blog and gallery, great work girl! But I didn't find your craft displays or these notebooks (I didn't go through too many pages in the gallery but maybe I was in the wrong album??). Can you direct me please!

M&M Stix - sports, holiday and fall
Peppermint Patties - just 2 in a bag
Rudolph Spares
Smores Kits with Peeps
Magic Reindeer Dust
Sour Cream Containers - with kisses inside
Puppy and Kitty Treats - Yes, my pets have stockings too!

I need to come up with a couple more items for the price range....any suggestions?

UPDATE: I thought I might use the metal grid cubes to display this section. Big sign on top and baskets in each cube to hold the products? Still working this one out...may be too big for my tables? I plan on putting a stack of little handle baskets next to the display for customers to use while they are shopping? Any thoughts?

Really good idea, making a bundle deal out of the "$1" items. I have a lot of them on my table, and I do believe I will steal your bundle idea as well. I steal a lot you see!

I copied an idea from Becky Roberts (Inkin Idaho) where she made these little key ring post it note holder - using the small post it notes. She used the owl punch from SU and so did I (Surprise!) but I did a couple using a new halloween stamp from SU with a crow (looked very Poe like and I do like Poe!). Just did a couple of those because I didn't know how that themed item would sell, but I wanted one for me and one for a friend so half are already spoken for! They cost nothing to make, the ring is probably 20 cents and you use about 30 sheets of the post it note. So I'll probably throw those in my $1.25 bins too.

I bought candy last night (again cause I ate the other candy) for MM bags and they had York mints in the mini size - like MM size - and I'm going to use those too for winter themed bags. If I don't eat them all.

Thanks for all of your ideas ladies. I'll be posting some pictures this weekend of things I've made. I have three sales coming up, starting mid-October and I gotta get more done. Marathon of comp books and MM and other treat bags happening this weekend. And calendars, and more and more stuff.

I got the idea from someone on here last year....here is a pix of the ones I made last year - will update the packaging a tad this year but the poem will stay the same. The candy is lime green sixlets (mini whoppers) that I get in bulk at a local candy warehouse.

grinch-pills.jpg grinch-pills-1.jpg

I had a lady buy a couple at my first craft show of the year, then come back for 10 more at the next one. When I asked her about it, she said was handing them out to people she ran into that were "nasty"! Even gave one to a cashier at her grocery store! She was a hoot! I don't think that I would have the guts to hand them out randomly like that...but ended up being good gag gifts for people.

HTH!

I found some little mini pens in the party favor section of Hobby Lobby. There were 12 pens for $2.99 I think? They were blue, green, pink, yellow and purple. They fit great in the post it holders. So, if you are having trouble finding some, that might be an idea.

Default Shelving and tic tacs?

Thanks for the picture on the shelving Beth - now I get what you're saying! And yes I think I got the link to Kerry's blog from your post/blog and have subscribed to yours as well as her blog However even though I've looked at that picture earlier never realized that was shelving So is it available at Home Depot? Any idea how much it costs?

For those altering tic tac mints, do you purchase the tic tacs from Target/Walmart? How much does it cost and how much do you think we can sell it for?

Similarly where do you purchase the hershey chocolate bars from? I thought Costco used to have a bulk pack but when I searched for it last weekend I didn't see it.

I'm thinking of doing the Grinch pills with the Green tic tacs - being my first craft fair don't want to handle open food items since I don't know what's the code here.

I have a question - anyone have any ideas for Fall that I could do with wrapped butterscotch candies? I was thinking Pumpkin Kisses but they might be too big for that...any other ideas?

Thanks!

Is this what you were looking for???

A night on the town is certainly proof,
Pumpkins were watching, while you made a goof.
Tricking not treating is your game.
Your pumpkins at home were thinking the same.
So, when you get home this you must do check your shoes for pumpkin pooh.

I started to carve a pumpkin
with my carving knife and scoop
But the pumpkin got so scared
He took a little poop

It looked so cute and funny
Just like a candy treat
So I'm sharing it with you now
Because you are so sweet!

I think that I will add the candy patties to the $1.50 or 4/$5.00 section on my table.

Are the shelving pieces the ones used for closet organizers? How are they attached to the tables?

Hmm.....I am thinking a rectangular box decorated so that it resembles a fireplace, the opening being a semi-circle where the fire would be, and so the butterscotch is visible. Wrap the candies in red/yellow cello with a twist top so it resembles a fire. Add a little poem such as:

Fire, fire, burning bright,
Glowing with a gentle light.
Holding butterscotch delight
And warm wishes this cold Fall night.

Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Sharon

Beth, that sounds like a good list of stuff for the $1.50 or 4/$5.00 Stocking Stuffer section of your booth. A few more ideas are: small decorated tic tacs, Pixy Stix treat pockets, decorated microwave popcorn, packet of cocoa with a few kisses & mini candy cane for a quick "Snowman Soup". Do you think you will add any non-food items to this section? You could also do some quick bookmarks with your Cricut or simple mini comp notebooks. Today at a local discount grocery store (a watch-the-expiration-date type of place) I found the 1oz mini Purell hand sanitizers for .30 each. I think these were the ones at Staples for .10 a while back, but my store was out of them (of course!). Anyway, if you could find some of those, you might also add them. I think the stackable cubes would work great for this section of your booth - good idea!

I made the snowman kisses last year and bought the large tic tac packs from Target. They were on sale for 2 packs of 4 for $5. But even at the $3 each price, I would have made money.
I sold them for $4 each and was surprised that people didn't hesitate to pay this price. I sold out at my first craft show (only made 20).

I bought mine at Staples last year - don't remember how much I paid for them though. Plan on making them again this year as they are good sellers.

Got this link from Home Depot ClosetMaid 6 Ft. W x 16 In. D SuperSlide Wire Shelf - 4735 at The Home Depot. Is this what you're planning to use Beth? And would you just tie it to the table legs?

Hey guys!

I'm usually just a lurker......but I wanted to let you all know, that the Target Dollar Spot has the CUTEST little halloween notebooks! I know we are all fans of the Dollar Spot, so I'm sure you've been checking it out......but I hadn't seen them before yesterday. They are packed in 6's, with a halloween image already on the front (super time saving).....and are approx. 2"x2"ish, and are spiral bound. So stinkin' CUTE!!!!

I am already done, all of my halloween sale items for this year BUT I picked up all they had for next year. I am thinking I'll do pencil sleeves, and attach them to the front for something cutsey!

And of course I had to pick up a few of the matching pencils......

Thanks for the tip! I finally found the larger size foil-wrapped chocolate eyeballs at Big Lots. I also found some cute eyeball gumballs at Dollar General that were individually wrapped and fit nicely in the pretzel rod bags.

As far as candles, I think most people get the small pillars at Dollar Tree or Dollar General or places like that...

I got my candles at Wal-Mart for $1.88 each. I plan to sell mine for $5 each just for the candle. When you mentioned a cast iron stand you reminded me of a black metal candle stand I have from PartyLite. That would be perfect for displaying the candles.

I am on my way to Wal mart now, thanks for the heads up on those....I just love you gals. It has been so helpful to have you all to chat with and well frankly I have learned so much from you all that I could never repay it so I try to pay it forward.....I wasn't sure what to ask for on the candles so this helps me get a figure....once I get pics done up and uploaded I will share.

Anyone has any info on the best place to buy the Hershey Candy bars from?
Last year I made 20 Grinch pills and they sold out within an hour. I made 12 more that night and they were gone fast the next day. I am planning on doing 50 up front this year. If I have time I will do more. I sold them for $1.00 each last year, but am debating raising it to $1.50 each this year.
