Try using some windex to clean the transperancy/window sheet before taping it down. This seems to help sometimes.

you can also swipe your acetate with the embossing buddy or a dryer sheet before you assemble your card

Thank you - never thought of the dryer sheet.

I add a few small seed beads or no hole beads. They help keep things "moving" around. Hope that helps!

I just read in a thread the other day that washing the acetate in soapy water and drying with a paper towel before use will fix this problem. HTH

I was so glad to see this thread!!! I just ran into some interesting problems with this subject and found out something GREAT about SU micro beads.

Story:
I tried making a snowman shaker card with kosher salt, table salt, glitter and micro beads. I had some mico beads in a long tube (from the bead section at a craft store) and I had some in a bag from Hobby Lobby. All of the above items had a horrible problem with static. I tried using the Embossing Buddy on the acetate and a dryer sheet....neither made much difference. All of the products I tried flew out of my little area and stuck to the acetate so that they got on top of the foam tape - this wouldn't allow me to make a good seal. So then I got out my Stampin' Up! micro beads - I don't know why I thought they would be any different, but GUESS WHAT???? They weren't charged with electricity!!!!! They worked GREAT!!! I don't know why....but I'm stickin' with the SU micro beads!

Thanks for the Windex tip....I'll try that for my other beads and confetti!

swiffer dusters usually work for me. When that doesn't I spray the acetate with a very light layer of StaticGuard and then wipe it off. That works pretty much all the time.
Good luck. * I usually use transparency sheets from the office store*

I always had the problem with embossing powder sticking around the embossed image...my cousin recommended a dryer sheet...worked like a charm...i would try that!! Just be careful not to smudge the acetate with the stuff on the sheet!
