Brayers background with Upsy Daisy stamped in Black
Here's the situation. I have brayered my background on both glossy CS and Whisper White and have finally become satisfied with my brayering results. The problem is when I try to overlay the Upsy Daisy image with black ink I don't get a good solid black image. I have used Basic Black, Stazon and Brilliance. I've also tried stamping before brayering with the stamp loaded with Versamark first then Basic Black then stamp and that was no better. Does anyone have words of wisdom for me? Please?!

Lisa
Lisa the only way I can get a good inked stamp. Is to hold the ink pad in my hand and then ink the stamp.
(Stamp should be laying on table flat) This way I can see just how much ink I have on my stamp. I also use Palette Noir (Black) ink for most of my stamping.
Maybe your stamp needs conditioning?
Or, you could put something with a little give under your paper? Mouse pad, sheet of fun foam, etc?
Hope you get it figured out!

As suggested - make sure your bolder images are conditioned well. I like to rub stazon cleaner over my bold image stamps then lightly sand with the sanding block, then drag across my scrap paper to remove the cleaner. Ink and stamp on scratch paper to see what areas you might have missed. I've also found that I prefer to use Ranger Black Archival Ink with my bolder image stamps.
