Default On Board Bitty Book edge issues

I am in the process of making bitty books using wallpaper and they are beautiful until I want to close them! I then used the exacto to cut down the folds, and it just looks...yucky. You have a really pretty book with cardboard seams showing. Can someone help me? I love using chip board, but not sure I'm enjoying the whole seam thing.

I don't know that I've seen any examples.. except for the one in the gallery where they left the cover natural and covered only the binding.. it was a coaches' book. I wonder if you are scoring the paper at the seams after applying.. are you keeping a seperate piece for the binding? Also.. another thing to try.. try lighter weight paper at the binding, perhaps something that coordinates with the wallpaper.

I'm not quite sure what you are talking about. If you are talking about the pages as they are shut, I use a Krylon pen to go over the eges. You can get them in gold, silver, copper. I think it looks really nice.

When I did mine, I opened the book, while the modge podge, was still wet, and ran my bone folder in the crease area. I went over it a few times. Now when it is closed, it has a crease, but when it is open, the crease folds in deeper. Nothing puffs out or is yucky. I used the double sided holiday Thyme paper. Here is a link to my album...

I adhered the designer paper and CS to each separate surface. Lots of measuring. The spine of the book album was done with a sponge dauber and a cordinating classic ink pad. I lined the inside of the album with CS also. I used the circle punch to cut out the half circle on the outside box. You can use the sanding block if necessary to take care of rough edges. I made 6 of them for Christmas gifts and hated to part with them.
