Looks like reinkers mixed into Crystal Effects to me - it is beautiful!

She has a class on her blog, but it's one you pay for.
I'm wondering, because the first upload where she mentions blown glass she's obviously used a straw or something to blow the ink, if the glossy look from her later uploads is the same idea only in something like Glossy Accents instead of straight on the cardstock. Some of those butterflies look as if they'd been dry-embossed first, too.

Could DCB, or one of the other repliers, please post a link to the card in question?

Thank you.

I agree with Lydia. It does look like Crystal Effects with reinkers.

hey Everyone! This is Donna from Butternutsagedesigns. I have created the original Blown Glass Technique and yes it does use reinkers! You can see more samples here in the gallery. Thanks ButternutSage~ Enjoy

I would think Crystal Effects on stamped Acetate, drop in the dots of reinker, smoosh another acetate on top or blow around. Let dry and cut out. Or you could just be very careful with the stamped acetate and use CE on the actual card. Beautiful images!

I firmly believe that I have been the first to do this technique judging from the comments here and the fact that I cannot find it anywhere on the internet. It would be very sad to me to hear that someone has used my technique and copied it to put on the internet for free after learning it from me. Please be kind and link to my blog as the original inspiration for the technique and be considerate not share my secrets on the internet. Thanks~Donna

Yes, the tortoise is fabulous! Check out her blog today (5/29/11) and the gorgeous abstract art square she has on her card. The colors and the "movement" are stunning!! Way to go, Donna.

The cost of her class to learn this technique is very reasonable, so I would suggest we all subscribe to learn her secrets. I plan to.

Donna - the card on your blog with this technique is just stunning - it reminds me of a watercolor painting. I am looking forward to learning how you do this and will sign up just as soon as this holiday is over!

I agree that no one should share what they learned in your class, that's just not right! I can't wait to find free time to take the class!! The effect is beautiful and we do all want to copy it! LOL

this technique looks like the stamper took ink and drew it into crystal effects with a toothpick similar to how your marbelize frosting. It is not MY BLOWN GLASS technique but fun none the less! ~Donna

Donna, just headed to your site, what a fair price for a great technique. Thank you so much for sharing.

It takes soooo long to create a tutorial, so thank you for doing so!
