Default Bleaching on Card Stock

I have just tried bleaching technique on a cardstock but the result is not very good as shown in some videos. Can anyone help me please as I may not be using the right cardstock etc. Thank you

All cardstock reacts differently to bleach - a dark brown from one maker might not react the same as a dark brown from another, for example. I find it best to put an experimental dot of bleach on a scrap of anything I plan to use before investing time in stamping and bleaching out an image.

I find hitting my bleached cardstock with a heat gun speeds up and intensifies the process. Work in a well-ventilated area if you do this though, hot bleach is going to give off some fumes!

Bleach can get old, too. If yours has been around for a while, it might be worth trying with a fresh bottle to see if that makes a difference.

Some cardstock just doesn't give a dramatic effect though so be prepared to experiment a bit.

HTH!

Gina K recently posted a video on YouTube about using bleach on kraft cardstock and she made exactly the same observation on two points that Joanne did above (way to go, Joanne, as always !!): make sure your bleach is not old and a heat gun intensifies the bleaching effect.

Check out StampTV because Gina K has several bleaching videos. It works great with her Pure Luxury cardstock. I've done a bunch and they turned out great.

here is a card that I used bleach on with gray cardstock. You may get different results everytime you try it.
