HELP. I see cards with acetate in, on, around them. HOW do you attach the acetate? I understand the concept of the window card, but I'm talkign about if you want to use a sheet of acetate as an entire card cover (or the front of a card) with a stamp on the acetate and the cardstock under it background stamped or designed, etc? I think I'm at a mind block... I don't think I'm explaining very well what it is I'm having problems with!

You can use eyelets or brads (maybe even colored staples) to attached it to your cardfront, or attach the acetate to the back of a frame, then attach the frame to the cardfront w/ your adhesive of choice. If you don't want the eyelets, brads, etc. to show on the inside of your card attached it to a piece to be layered onto the cardfront.
Just a few ideas, hope that helps. Here's a link to a card I did w/ acetate, although it doesn't cover the entire cardfront it will give you a visual:
I attached the acetate with two mini glue dots - one in each of the top two corners, and then ran a piece of ribbon around to cover the spots. You couldnt' see them when it was done!
what is acetate? i am trying to figure it out is it bad that i do nnot know do we sell it
Overhead projector sheets. We called them window sheets. Heavy clear plastic. We use to sell tehm but the quality went down so they stopped middle of this year. If you get the laser ink jet ones you can even emboss on them.

As others have mentioned, you can use brads and eyelets to attach the acetate to the front. If you don't want your attachment to show, I use my Xyron to apply adhesive. If you have colored the back of the acetate, then apply the adhesive to the cardstock and then put the acetate over the adhesive. Nothing shows and you get a "floaty" affect with a stamped image on the acetate and other images on the cardstock below.
Here's one I did--I attached the acetate in the back with sticky strip. The primas and the colored flower on the front are on the acetate. The rest is inside on the cardstock. OGW Floating Acetate Card by kathat at Splitcoaststampers
and here's another one. The acetate is only on the front of the card and it's stamped on with white stazon. I attached this to the other layers with brads. It's not in my gallery since I made it for my Secret Sister so it's in her gallery.
