So from the Q, you all know that I am new to stamping.....
I want to get the VersaMark as I saw my demo doing some embossing that's really cool, but I wonder what other techniques that I can use this for? Can someone tell me and even better show me/post a link to your great work so that I can actually see them? THANKS MILLIONS!!!!!
Thank you for the link!
But if anyone have some work that you can show me will be even better!
It's hard to "imagine" in my head when I am so new to stamping & don't know some techniques at all :(

Hi,
Here is one card that I used versarmark with (even though I didn't list it in the "ingredients" - oops). The flowers were stamped with versamark then I used the pastels with a sponge dauber to dab the color on the flowers. Don't rub, just pat, then blow away any extra color that didn't attach to the ink. It's a very simple card, but at least it's an idea for you.
I stamped with Versamark on these ATCs, then rubbed soft pastels (put a bit on a paper towel). All the vibrant colors on these ATCs is from soft pastels, I overstamped with brown: http://stampingmathilda.blogspot.com...cted-atcs
Here is another one with versamark. I stamped the "U" with color then stamped the versamark all over the "U". I embossed it with a clear embossing powder, cut it out and mounted it with stampin' dimensionals. That's about all I could find clearly used in my gallery, although there are lots of others that have versamark used to watermark my background paper.
You can also mix dazzling diamonds with embossing powder to give a shimmery look (I have the mixture recipe at home but am not there right now). If you want it, PM me.
This doesn't show you, but it explains... It's part of a handout I have.
HTH! :-)
Enjoy the VERSAtility of VERSAMARK pads!
an EMBOSSING PAD - Just stamp and emboss as usual. You can also use clear embossing powder over it on colored cardstock for a really elegant effect. Try inking with Versamark, then a Kaleidacolor pad before stamping and embossing. This lets you emboss with the rainbow effect of a K-pad!
a WATERMARK - This is great for backgrounds, it will deepen the shade of colored paper wherever you stamp. It's more difficult to see on lighter shades of paper. Just think about this, for every color of paper you own, you now have a complementary color of ink!
WITH CHALKS - There are a couple of ways to accomplish this effect on light colored card stocks. 1) Apply chalk to the area to be stamped, stamp with VersaMark, then rub gently with a clean cotton ball (or you can get a more dramatic effect by adding chalk to the cotton ball). 2) Stamp first then chalk gently over the stamped area and watch the image "magically" appear. This is called “chalk popping,” and it’s fun!
REVERSE (with chalks) - This time you use brightly colored chalk to cover dark colored card stock and then stamp over the chalked area. The ink will pull out the color of the paper from beneath the chalk.
SHADOWING - This is a technique that is neat with Kaleidacolor pads and word/letter stamps but you can use it for anything really. Just stamp your image using a colored ink, clean the stamp and re-ink with VersaMark. Try to stamp directly over your first image. Because you will seldom be exact you will make a shadow that gives the initial image a 3-D effect. You can even take it a step further and emboss with a transparent powder.
BRAYER RESIST - Stamp image(s) onto Glossy White cardstock using one of the above inks. Gently wipe away the ink using a lotion-free tissue and small circular motion. Ink up your brayer and roll it over the paper. Wherever the VersaMark ink was stamped, the paper will resist the colored ink from your brayer. Try it again by heat setting your VersaMark image instead of wiping it away.
EMBOSSING ON GLASS - Using the X-static first, then using the VersaMark to stamp the image on a glass container, then emboss with detail gold or silver. Fill it with candy and tie a ribbon on it.
DISCREET JOURNALING LINES - Although the VersaMark ink is sticky when applied, it dries like regular ink and loses the stickiness. It is Acid-free and safe for scrapbook pages.
There you have it. One pad and lots of different techniques! It is so incredibly VERSAtile. I love my VersaMark pad and hope that you can learn to love it too!

The "Resources" section of SCS is wonderful and has several techniques using Versamark, and there are pics of the finished products. You should definitely check it out. Also, when you find a technique you like and want to see more examples of it you can go to the "Gallery" and look for uploads using it in the "Technique Spotlight" section. HTH! Happy stamping!
I use it with pearlX powders, but unfortunately have no pics for you. My favorite is a peacock stamped in versamark on black paper, then dust with pearl X. They shimmer kinda like if you dusted them with eyeshadow.

THank you So So so much, this is great! I will try ALL these.
but a Q for the WATERMARK one, do I just stamp VersaMArk directly on to the paper?????? I am confused about this one:confused:

Yep! Just stamp directly on the paper with VM. It will show up just a tad bit darker. Some cardstock will show it better than others so experiment. ;-)
