Shading with #2 pencil

I just saw an amazing card that the comments said they used the #2 pencil shading technique. Is this just stamping in black and using a regular pencil to shade?

It looks like that to me - especially since all she lists in accessories is the #2 pencil, apart from the oval die and ribbon.

That's what I'm looking for too! It doesn't list even a black ink pad. Love Linda's work!!!
I'd like to see how this is done...

I think she does list a black ink pad. I believe when she says "Ink: black pallette" she is referring to the this ink: http://www.stewartsuperior.com/html/palette_line.html.

The name of the black color of the Palette ink is 'Noir'.
