Default How to decorate a Lunch Tin *merged*

I have been admiring all the fantastic Lunch boxes in the gallery. I have even bought one to decorate.

The only problem is how do you do the top of the tin a lot of them look so neat and I was wondering how this is done?

I attended a workshop through my SU! demo and we received the pattern to cut around the handle and the lock and it wasn't difficult at all. I understand that some people paint the top rather than use paper and then they don't have to worry about cutting around the handle. Hope this helps. They are really fun to do and make great gifts!

I have heard that alcohol inks look great on a lunchbox top.

I made a template for the 2 lunch box tins I did. Then I ordered another for a friend. I sat down at my table, used the template ~ cut the paper and when I went to glue it on I noticed that the box was different! I'm a dummy! I did not look at it first to see that they were not the same!!!

I had got both from OT and the last order, the handle was different! So, just make sure to look first....
