Hi, I'm looking for tips and suggestions from anyone who has stamped on memo cubes before. I'm getting ready to attempt this, and need any help that you can offer. Is it better to stamp solid or outline images? If it's possible to stamp outline images, what's the best way to color them? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks very much! ~Sherri
I like to use the solid stamps most. They are quicker because they are already colored. I have used outline stamps, though and I colored them in with chalk. Be sure to squeeze the pages together tight when you stamp, or they will split apart and your design might smear.
You can use either type of stamps. I actually prefer using the detailed stamps. I stamp in pigment ink, emboss the image and color away!
I generally put a main image on the front of the cube and then make the other three sides have a coordinating background. I have a cute frog on my website now at: http://stamponthis.com/SOT-PGfoliocube.htm . Please page down a bit if you visit the link, I have the new folio colors listed first in the gallery, then the cubes.
