Default Fabric stamping - Can we use SU markers?

I was wondering if anyone has tried stamping on fabric (an outline) and then coloring in with our markers. I'm assuming the color would wash away? Or, if anyone has used an iron on transfer.... does it work any better with this? Thanks!

Classic ink (which is what is in the markers) sometimes washes out, sometimes it doesn't. If the coloring doesn't disappear completely, I doubt it will look anything like it did before the item went into the washer. Craft ink is what's recommended for using on fabric.

I have stamped on fabric using the computer iron-on transfers. Yes, with these you can use SU markers and even SU Pastel chalks! Works great!!!

Connie,
Do you have any specific technique for this? I'd love to know!
Thanks,
Nicole

There really isn't much you need in the way of instructions, thankfully, lol! Stamp and color in using regular dye ink, making sure you do it on the correct side of the paper. Then just follow manufacturers directions to ironing on the transfer. Voila! The colors should stay vibrant MUCH longer than if you'd applied them directly to the fabric.

Thanks for the confirmation! I should be able to handle this ;)
With all the different threads about fabric painting, I'm just glad I can use the dye markers as opposed to investing in craft and/or acrylic paints.
