Default Brads on cards

Ok...Im very very new here (2nd post) so go easy on me.
I see such beeeeeeeeeautiful cards here and I would love to start making my own now that I feel so inspired!
My question is this:
When you create a card with any kind of brad on the front, when you open the card do you see the back of the brad? Is there some sort of trick/technique to hide it? I only see the front of the card and would love to see how it looks when you open the card.
Thanks for taking the time to answer this newbie!

It's one of the 'different strokes for different folks' questions. Some people don't mind seeing the legs of the brads inside the card and just make the card that way. Some ways to avoid it if you don't want to see it:

Make a 'card front' using a separate piece of cardstock and do all your decorative stuff on there then stick it to your folded card blank so the brad legs will be between the layers.

Make an insert for your card (just a piece of paper trimmed slightly smaller than your card and stuck inside).

Use a decorative sticker, die cut etc on the inside of your card to hide the brad legs (it can make a cute decorative touch, too).

HTH!

Add your brad to the layer before adhering the layer to the card base.

Same goes for ribbon...wrap and ribbon around the layer.

Here's a funny thread on this topic:

There's also lots of ideas concerning the exposed legs.

I tend to go with the card front idea to hide the legs of the brad.

If you do a front card it's easier to punch wholes on both sides then attached it to your folded card. AND...if you are stamping on one side and mess up then you just flip it over and try again instead of wasting a folded card .
