I have also emailed her. I have clicked that link so many times just hoping it works!!!!!!!!!! I love her ribbon blossoms and ribbon is right up my alley!!
I read her blog all the time. I read the directions when it was first out and I tried it one time but mine did not come out as good as hers. I remember that she cut strips of ribbon and layered them on top of each other...the bottom being the longest strip, next layer was a bit shorter ..etc etc. she tied the ribbon in the middle with a tin piece of ribbon so all the pieces stayed together. She then fanned out the pieces ..one going one way and another piece pulled in opposite direction. After she was done fanning it out and fixing it...she trimmed a little to make it look nice. Mine went wrong when it came to fanning them out. I just couldn't get it to work right. I am pretty sure I printed the directions out. I will see if I can put my hands on them
This is what is on her blog
On Jan 3 2008 she posted the following on her blog.
~Several questions have been asked regarding the 'Ribbon Blossom'. I'll try to answer them here, but be sure to let me know if you have any further questions or need any advice. I'd be happy to help!!
1. "How do you adhere your main strip of ribbon that the Ribbon Blossom is tied to?" (It is the ivory strip of ribbon in the tutorial photo.):
** I adhered the ivory ribbon (and other two strips of ribbon in the tutorial photos) by wrapping it around the side of the card and taping each edge down with good old scrapbooking tape (or regular gift-wrapping tape if that's all I have on-hand). I usually cut the lengths of ribbon the width of the card, plus an extra 2 inches, so I have an extra inch to wrap onto the back of each side of the card. If it's a really 'slippery' type of ribbon (satin or organdy) I may add a tiny portion of a glue dot under the ribbon, then lay the ribbon on top of the glue dot, then tape over the ribbon to hold it down and in place.
2. "How many pieces of ribbon did/do you use for your Ribbon Blossom?"
** I have used as few as 8 pieces, and as many as 37 pieces of ribbon for my Ribbon Blossoms. The number of pieces I use depends on the size of Ribbon Blossom I want to make and the number of scraps I want to use up. It also depends on whether or not I have enough different colors to use to compliment the card I'm making.
3. "Where did you come up with the idea for the Ribbon Blossom?"
** I had seen several cards on SCS, and blogs that I read, that had added 1-2 extra pieces of ribbon to the bows that they had on their cards. I liked the look, and started adding 1-2 extra pieces too. The next time, I added 5-6 extra pieces to my bow, and liked the look even more. Then, one day, I was going through my 'ribbon-scraps' jar (I save even teeny-tiny ribbon scraps---can't bear to toss them in the trash!) , picking out different colors and prints that I thought complimented the colors in my card....and ended up with a pretty big pile of scraps. I grabbed all of the scraps, laid them all on top of each other, tied them to my card and started 'messing' with them. It ended up looking somewhat like a big flower, so I started trimming it to see if I could make it look even more like a flower, and the Ribbon Blossom was born! I loved the look, (and so did my Mom, when I asked her what she thought of it) and I've continued doing it ever since. (The comments from everyone were great----so that was the 'extra boost' I needed too!!) Many people contacted me, either by PM over on SCS, or here on my blog, asking me to tell or show them how I did the Ribbon Blossom, so I uploaded my first tutorial.
Since uploading the Ribbon Blossom Tutorial, I've had almost 700 hits to my blog (my blog is very new....so that's HUGE to me!!), so I think the 'word' has gotten around. Twenty-one people have left really nice comments or asked questions (yes, I do count--every single one means SO much to me!!), which tells me my tutorial helped a little bit.
**To those of you who left such nice comments----Thank YOU---for making my day!! ~
On Feb 24 2008....the following is from he blog that you all are referring to above...the one with the link that is not working.
~I'm still getting a lot of questions and comments on SCS regarding how I do my Ribbon Blossom. To make the tutorial easier for everyone to find, I've added a link to the right, under 'My Tutorials'. Hope you find the tutorial helpful.
If you have any questions, after reading the tutorial, or when creating your own Ribbon Blossom, feel free to email me. (The link is on the right.)
Be sure to leave a comment with a link to your creations----I'd love to see what you've made!
Have a great day, everybody!~
I made one last night and it came out good.. I had all the pieces stacked neatly, tied tightly with string. Then I took the top piece, both end pieces in my right hand, then took the next 2nd layer, both end pieces, and held in my left hand and pulled away from each other.. After pulling, you can get to the next layers.. I did this till all the layers were done. I then trimmed when I was finished. I got the basic directions from someone else that had seen her tutorial and done the ribbon blossom..
I read her blog a lot and even saw the directions to the ribbons but I bookmarked it instead of putting it in a document. I guess I never thought I wouldn'g have access to it on her blog. I never tried making a ribbon either...
:(
She has been very generous to everyone but I also have been reading that she has not been well. I'm sure that's the reason she hasn't responded to our requests for directions.
My guess is she will get back to us after she's feeling better....
I tried it and I can't seem to figure it out :( I lost my notes on how to do it and save the link in my favorites and when I went back to see it it was gone. :(
I'm hoping she posts it soon...
I just read her most recent blog before this one and it explains why the tutorial is gone. Some people decided to be very nasty and cruel. They told her she had no right creating a pom pom. Wow! Why would people even take the time to send such nasty emails. I would love to learn how to make this bow but understand why she removed the tutorial.
I hope Pam is OK!!! There hasn't been a post on her blog for 10 days. She did say she was feeling better after a bout with some kind of bug. I'm still waiting for the 'Ribbon Blossom" Tutorial.
This should answer all the questions about the Ribbon Blossom tutorial....I guess we just need to be patient...(cut and pasted from Pam's blog)

Ribbon Blossom Tutorial: Answers & An Explanation
I'm currently working on revamping the 'Ribbon Blossom' tutorial. I've been contacted by quite a few people that have tried to make one, using the tutorial, and haven't been happy with the results they've gotten.
I know the link is no longer available. I deleted it, and will explain my reason for doing so.
I want you all to know that I was also flattered-----beyond belief----that SO many people wanted to learn to do something that I do. I did ask people to call it a 'Ribbon Blossom' if they made one using my tutorial, because it felt really nice knowing that people were remembering me because of something they liked to look at. Heck, I think we'd all like to be remembered for something nice. Maybe I'm being too presumptuous here, but I do think that.
That was my first tutorial----EVER----so it was a definite learning experience for me. (I don't know how some of these ladies can put out a tutorial almost every day! Doing that one tutorial took me almost two days total!) I do feel like I may be able to explain each step a little more, and show you more pictures that will take you through the process in a more clearly-demonstrated way. It will be offered to you in a different format, also....but that information will be coming shortly. (I'm not trying to 'tease'....it's just that I don't have everything finished with it yet.)
Since I try very hard to be honest with those of you that do stop by my blog, I'll share with you the second reason that it has been deleted from my blog.
I received several very nasty emails and posts regarding the Ribbon Blossom Tutorial. One message, in particular, stated that I had 'no business whatsoever laying claim to the creation or invention of the pom-pom', stating that I had 'NO right to expect people throughout the world to give me personal credit for the 'pom-pom', or anything remotely resembling a 'pom-pom'. (These posts have now been deleted.)
First, let me clear up one thing: I never, ever laid claim to the 'pom-pom'. Ever. In a later entry, in which I tried to answer questions people had regarding the tutorial, I did explain that it looked somewhat LIKE a pom-pom.....for lack of a better way to describe it. I'm not a walking thesaurus---that is simply the first word that came to mind at the time.
Since I do not feel that I've ever intentionally tried to hurt anyone, in any way, through my blog, or in any of its entries, I was quite shocked to receive such rude messages and posts. To put it simply, many people asked me to show them how to make a 'Ribbon Blossom', and I put some pictures and words together to try to explain the process that I use to create them. I really didn't expect to be attacked for doing so, and I was quite stunned, to say the least. I didn't want to receive any more nasty messages, so I chose to remove the 'problem'. My parents raised me to live by the old quote 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all', and I try very hard to do that. Others may not, but I do.
I hope that those of you that are reading this do not feel like you are being punished for the actions of a handful of people. Honestly, I did feel 'punished'----for trying to do something nice---but it is NOT my intention to pass along that hurt or anger.
I apologize, wholeheartedly, to any of you that feel slighted or frustrated by the fact that I deleted my tutorial. Upsetting you is not my intention. Preventing further rude comments and emails is my only goal. That is the reason that I deleted the tutorial from my blog.
To my regular, faithful, wonderful readers.....the tutorial isn't gone, it's just being revamped. It will be offered-----to those that want it-----in the near future, but in a different format, via a different route.
I hope that you can understand my reasons for the decisions I made. Thank you for being so wonderful, and for reading this post.
I really do enjoy having a blog so much, and you all make my day in more ways than I could ever have imagined. The comments, posts and messages that you leave here really do mean a lot to me.
I hope you'll stop back again. (Soon!) :-) Have a wonderful evening, everyone!
Thank you so much for explaining your reasons to delete the tutorial. I can fully understand them - even if I would just LOVE to get the tutorial ;) . I tried it myself, but it looks more like a blossom after its best times are over!!! So whenever you feel ready to share your tutoral again, please do remember me! And I promise to leave just a grateful post!

She is an idol of mine....that's all and I thought by posting Pam's message from HER blog, it would clear up a lot of speculation and question you all had..
sorry for any misunderstanding..I guess I didn't word the previous post very well...MJ/gracie
I've tried making the blossoms with no luck at all in acheiving that pouffy look...has anyone else made one recently...maybe share a tip that I might be missing...maybe I'm pulling them the wrong way...or maybe not mixing the textures right...too much grosgrain and not enough organza...any tips would be appreciated.. tia
Hi guys----
I wanted to hop in here and let you know that reading this thread has gotten me all choked-up and teary-eyed!! What sweethearts you all are!!
I am so thankful that you have all been so understanding about my reasons for deleting the tutorial----I guess the nasty messages really knocked the wind out of me, and though I'd like to think otherwise, I'm not as 'thick-skinned' as I'd like to think I am, and, honestly, I was hurt.
That's in the past, though, and I'm not going to continue to dwell on negative things, especially not when I've met SO many fabulous people through SCS and my blog. THAT is what I'm going to focus on---all you WONDERFUL people!! :-)
Right now, I'm tweaking the last few parts of the tutorial for the 'Ribbon Blossom', and it'll be ready soon---I promise!!
Hugs to you all----you've all made me feel SO much better!! Pam

How wonderful to hear from you again! You are right, just ignore the nasty comments and concentrate on the interested ones *giggle*;)
I still cannot understand why I cannot find out myself how to get the blossom looking so "full". Mine are just looking cluttert, especially the knots in the middle.
I am so much looking forward reading from you again! Take care!
