MMTPT101 ~ OH FIDDLE! OH FADDLE! HE'S SPOTLESS IN SEATTLE!!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #100
MY FIDDLE! OH FADDLE! HE'S SPOTLESS IN SEATTLE!!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!
This is my story!
1. Last week was my 100th teaparty but I chose to celebrate my 101 teaparty as a special milestone instead! It all has to do with black and white dots, I mean spots! You probably arent surprised to see that the teapot being featured this week is an adorable little spotless dalmation doggie teapot! Hes dalmation through and through and a direct descendant of some pretty famous dalmations. You might recognize some of his family members by name. Patch, Lucky, Lightening Bolt, Rolly, Pepper, Two-Tone, Whizzer, Pongo, Perdita, Dip-Stick, Little Dipper, Domino, Odd-Ball, and Dotty.
2. Lightning Bolt was his idol but Odd-Ball is the family member he can most identify with! You see Odd-Ball was born without spots only to get them later in life. Duke, having been spotless all his life, is hoping for the same and even though all of his family members encourage him day after day, he's beginning to wonder if his spots will ever come in! Duke is a little self conscious and in his pursuit of happiness (to be a Fire Engine Dalmation!) he applied for a job on line on Fire Engine 9! Let's just say he neglected to mention that he is spotless! He had thoroughly intended to mention that on his on-line application but when the job description mentioned that part of his job responsibilities would be riding on Fire Engine 9 in local parades, he got a little nervous about that! The long and short of it is that he traveled to Seattle, aced the job interview, won the heart of the Captain of the Fire House and got the job! Woot! There is just one little dilema, he pretty much guaranteed the Captain that by the time he comes to work in two weeks he will have his spots! Yikes!
3. The Captain Calls the Shots! Go Out and Get Your Spots!! That's where we come in! Bring dots, I mean spots! 42,000 of them! Don't be worried about how they arrive. They can be on a vase, in a blank space, on a teapot, in a small spot, in a background, on a greyhound, on a flower, in a shower, on a big brad, even a small lad. Bring 'em on a cake, or maybe a snake, stuck to a table, or on a white label, enclosed in a square, in an old lady's hair! Bring em on a ladybug, a coffee mug, a giraffe or a small calf. Brings lots of dots, I mean spots, cuz the Captain calls the shots!
4. Meet Hoover, the Spot Remover! He's why we don't need to worry about how your spots get to Seattle. Hoover is an expert at removing spots! He has a long and successful background at the Dalmation Plantation where for years, he removed spots from Dalmations to disquise them from a certain Dalmation obsessed crazy lady with a long cigarette! No reason why he can't remove spots from other things and place them ON A DALAMATION instead of taking them OFF A DALMATION!
Oh Fiddle, Oh Faddle, We're Off to Seattle! You should probably bring an umbrella, just don't bring Cruella! If you get confused and bring stripes, you have to come in the back door cuz Duke's afraid of lions and he really can't end up a zebra! Don't cha know!!!
TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION:
It's payback time! Time to payback a fellow SCSer who has continually, for several years now, sent random acts of kindness (RAK's) to her fellow stampers. Whether it's a birthday, sympathy, get well, congratulations or thinking of you kinda occasion, Sue (Bensarmom) is always there sendng her lovely cards out in the mail! Now it's our turn to shower HER with cards! She's spending her 4th of July a little differently than the rest of us this year! The details (including address) are here , in Post #29 of the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread.
Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your card. It is strictly voluntary.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT101 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenge, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.
Whoo Hoo! Seattle! I've never been further west than Oklahoma! Here are as many spots as I could round up. Those spots are tricky aren't they. They kept swimming around in front of my eyes! Happy Birthday to Soni B and Blessedgram! My card is off to Sue. Thanks Cindy for being so fabulous! MMTPT101 Get Well Wishes for Sue by yo sam at Splitcoaststampers
Oh - I can get to meet M and all those other Seattle ladies at last. I wish...
So glad it doesn't have to be an actual dalmatian. I will have fun bringing spots AKA dots along after work. And I'll be happy to send it to Sue. But (winks) I hope she hangs out more in the Need a Lift forum than the Need a Life one.
As far as the Chief knows duke has his spots even if it is an illusion. Join Duke and his friends as they celebrate his coming of spots (he's the cute little guy on the right). Those are not rose coloured Glasses and that's all I'm saying.
Hi Cindy and fellow teapartiers. I am very close to Seattle, I will probably beat you all there except for maybe Joanne aka sleepyinseattle. Anyway Happy Birthday to our Birthday girl! Here are my spots and my "Get Better Cake" for Sue.
(I will be having withdrawal next week - we are headed to a family reunion with over 60 of DH's siblings, in-laws and nieces and nephews, as well as their families. We get to take our house with us!!!
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

Bless your heart for thinking about Sue! I just had to join in this challenge and create a card for her. I don't have a lot of dots on my card, but I did get them in!
