WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #85
SHOEBY, SHOEBY, DOOBY!
IT'S FLAT FOOTED BOOBY RUBY!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!
This is my story!
1. No, I did not make up that name! There really is such a bird as a Flat Footed Booby! And this teapot is proof! Isn't she cute in her black and white polka dots? Giggle! Coming off a very successful Softer Side of Teapot Tuesday, I thought you guys might be up for a little rough and rollicking. I had to look up the word rollicking up in the dictionary. It means playful and boisterous! The minute I saw that definition, I thought oh yah, that's the word for our teaparty this week. Besides, it sounds good with rough!
2. Darn it anyhow, Ruby was born with flat feet! Duh, she is a Flat Footed Booby whose parents named her Ruby! She hates being flat footed! She's sort of a party girl and whenever she goes out, the people always shout, there goes John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith...oops...sorry got sidetracked on that catchy little tune. (Betcha you will be singing that the rest of the day! ) Whenever she goes out all her friends wear the cutest little heels, pumps, sandles, boots, stilettos, etc. etc. And there she stands with her flat feet looking outdated, old fashioned and frumpy! It's so embarrassing!
3. So, here's the scoop, Swoop! Swoop is Ruby's brother. He was nic-named Swoop long ago because he won the coveted Flat Footed Booby Prize for swooping from a record breaking tall tree and successfully snatching a 42,000 pound record breaking fish from the local fishing hole! It was quite the *feet*! We are off to Galapogos Island to bring Ruby some new shoes! You know, something that will get some attention, get her noticed! She likes polka dots but she's pretty much up for anything, anything but flat feet! Oh and it would be nice she says, if they weren't green!
Swoop's a little jealous and asked that we bring him something too. When I asked him what specifically? He said, I dunno! Just something masculine and macho, something daring and dangerous!
4. Oh, and don't think I didn't arrange for some fun entertainment while we are there! We are riding record breaking 42,000 pound Galapogos gargantuous tortoises (don't worry they are very slow moving!), having tea on a boat with a glass bottom (don't wear a sundress, there are snorkelers in the water!), and swimming with the local whale sharks (only the friendly ones!)
I have help this week with three great sample cards!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT85 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenge, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges
Oh, what a story. Thank heavens we'll at least get to enjoy a glass bottomed boat trip. I'll need it for sure once i manage to understand what's going on this week. Oh, and BTW, will you try to have some chocolate cake set aside for me as a former newbie?

Oh, my, lots of directions to go this week! It is my bedtime (I get pretty crabby if I stay up too late LOL!) but maybe I will dream about Flat Footed Booby RUby or Swoop, and wake up to some inspiration!

I go barefoot as much as I can, but even so, I am sorry I won't be round the rest of this week to see whatever more wonderful shoes are brought along. Ruby already seems to be spoiled for choice, and I've seen a couple of pairs I wouldn't say no to, either. And some that are lovely to look at, but I think I'd need DH to carry me if I tried wearing them.
Wow! That's some birdie! I had to laugh because Markie plays Zoo World and he was FREAKING out that there was a bird called the Blue Footed Booby! He REFUSED to say Booby and his father and I were laughing so hard we couldn't stop and ended up coughing! Oh, and this is the child who WANTS to be a doctor! LOL!
Yay Emily.....we will look forward to partying with you fer shure.....I think you will fit in quite nicely and maybe we can have a party in the Jungle of No Feet...that could be quite the experience! Hee!
Faith...I honestly thought SCS would sensor the word Booby when I typed it in...but it didn't...must not be that bad a word! Hee!
Dear sweet Ruby
Here's the deal -
I know how you feel
my feet are flat
and that's that.
High heels can hurt
so I'd rather walk in dirt
I found these shoes
made especially for you
they're sparkly and sassy
and even a bit classy.
There's a purse to match
with a golden latch.
So we'll travel in style
and I'll see you in awhile!
