and Challenge #437
On Dasher, On Dancer, Ooooops!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus....right down Sugar Cookie Lane....You see this is where he stocks up on the Maalox and Mylanta he's gonna need after staying out late flying around the world behind 8 slightly crazy and definitely geriatric reindeer and eating all those cookies so the kids will believe that he was actually there. And this is where he picks up his newly altered flashy red suit with the fancy white rabbit fur trim. His new suit is fully adjustable so that it fits now and can be let out inch by inch to accommodate his expanding girth as he gets further along in his cookie eating marathon. Whew...those crafty gals on Sugar Cookie Lane think of everything.
2: This is also where he Picks up the reindeer who have been coming here for decades starting the day after Thanksgiving to check into the fat reindeer farm and work off the summer poundage and get the legs back into fine flying shape for the upcoming world trip. And in charge of the reindeer getting back and forth to their fat reindeer farm training classes are the little short people of the town. Now y'all know when you have short people involved, things don't always go as planned but somehow, the crafty gals manage to usually get things kept in control enough that the reindeer are usually ready to put on the red velvet yoke with all it's numerous brass bells and cooperate for take off.
3: However this yr. Conner and Cupid haven't been as faithful about their exercises as they should have been and they are having trouble keeping up. So the short people have been putting them through extra training and cutting out some of their treats hoping that they will be ready. This has made Conner and Cupid a bit on the testy side and they have been rebelling and sneaking into the snack bin and some think that they have snuck into the spechulll tea pot as well, so they aren't ready on time. RUT ROH!!! What are the short people gonna do now??? They would have had back ups but Santa has always vetoed that idea, saying that he wouldn't be able to remember the names. (He's kind of geriatric by now too)
4: So the whole town of short people are out running around trying to round up Conner and Cupid to get them harnessed into line so the show can go on as planned.
Here comes Santa Claus, Dasher, Dancer and any others you can round up. Bring the Grinch and you can go in the back door down the street...teehee.
