Do Se Do, Swing Your Partner and Away We Go
ote: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! The Rest of the Story:
1: Summer time is just around the corner and time for celebrating and dancing the hot summer nights away. Barn dances are the best fun ever and a big occasion here in the heartland. We spread the straw over the floor and stack a few bales for sitting and a few more to support the plank bar and call the local boys in to play the guitar and we are good to go. Loads of fun for everyone of all ages. You just might see anyone out there on that dancefloor working off the worries and stress of the day.
2: One such event that has everyone anxiously awaiting is the big county fair and rodeo dance. This is one that even folks who have moved away come back for and the whole town will be out at the fairgrounds and then on over to the horse barns for some after dusk music and brew with a lot of yee haws and dancin thrown in.
3: Of course the rodeo queen and her court start everything off and pickin their first dance partner from all the guys that have shown up ready to stomp and yell. So Do Se Do and Away We Go!!! This year the festivities are sure to be even more spectacular as it's the towns 200 anniversary and there will be a big fireworks show going on as well. Lots of things to do and lots of people to mingle with. Lucky Lou is back in town for the night and many a gal has got their eye on him; checking out what this notorious bad boy will do this yr. No one will ever forget the year he rode his horse through the middle of the horse barn right in the middle of the dance, or the yr he got drunk (er) and stole the police chief's car for a joyride. Whoooeeee that boy is nothin but trouble.
4: And no one knows this better than Carolina Jones. She was sorta his main girl whenever he could stick around, and he sure got her in a fix or two over the years. But she is all married and respectable now so she isn't to happy to see him here. Nor is Grady Bonny, he would be the sheriff now and grew up with Lucky so he is on alert the minute he sees him. But Lucky seems to have slowed down his naughty boy ways and isn't makin any trouble except for winkin at all the ol' ladies and dancin with the even older ones.....Hmmmm wonder what he's up to....
5: Well, all seems to be goin well until someone discovers that the lemonade has been spiked....and things are startin to get a little wild....RUT ROH quick, someone bring a fresh batch of lemonade. The ol' gals aren't used to this stuff.
Challenge Translation:
