MMTPT329~November 18, 2014~A Laugh a Day Keeps the Doctor Away
Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #329
A Laugh a Day Keeps the Doctor Away
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: If laughter truly is the medicine that heals, then surely this clip will cure a lot of ills. This is one of my favorite scenes from a very funny movie. Laughter sure does make any load a lot easier and the time pass faster. So on that note, please take a look at the following clip and use it for inspiration to make a funny, or just outright hysterical get well card to help Pam pass the time and get to the next step in recovery a little faster. A little change in the normal format-thought we would try an inspiration challenge so y'all let me know what you think.
Challenge Translation:
Laughter is what we're lookin for.....anything to bring a smile, a chuckle, a grin or even a snort of laughter. So bring those clowns, the sassy nurses, whatever you can think of to help laugh the pain away.
EPEC- extra points for extra credit:
Everyone gets cookies this week. We need lots of laughs and we've got lots of fun cookies.
Destination Station:
This week our cards are going to Westminster CO. If you would like a destination for your cards, how about sending them to SCSr Pam (bailmac). Karen redbugdriver brought her condition to our attention.
To see why and to get an address to mail your cards, see post 433in the Destination Station
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT329 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Here is a quick link to MMTPT329 challenge gallery
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given Sheri (KSNurse) permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send her a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.
Oh I miss that we don't get cheaters emails anymore. It is Tuesday evening here, so I will be back tomorrow. Thanks for bringing Pam to our attention Karen, she is always spreading the love here at SCS. xx

Karen, thanks for bringing Pam's situation to our attention. She was encouraging and helpful to me when I first joined SCS. It is my privilege to make a card for her. Hopefully the humor in it isn't "inappropriate!"

Oh Susie, I too miss receiving the cheaters! Now, since they rarely come, my cards are usually not made or posted until several days after the challenge thread is up. The main reason is because I like to have time to "think" about my TPer cards. I try to make just the "right" card for the recipient. Afterall, the Teapotters make cards to make the recipients feel "special," to encourage them, to show we care. I would say that requires more thought than perhaps other challenges, wouldn't you? Here's hoping one day we will start getting the cheaters again every week!

I miss the cheater emails, too. :( But I understand it is not always possible and that the tea parties are sometimes scheduled "last minute." The teaparty for my niece's family was like that; thank you again for showering them with Teapotter Love!
Anyway, I plan on making a card this evening when I get home from work. Humorous cards are not my style, so it's going to take a bit of thinking on this. I'll be spending my lunch break looking for inspiration.
I am with you all about missing the teapotter cheater emails. I thought perhaps since I have been missing they just dropped me from the list! hehe I need that extra time to get Curt ready for what ever adventure he might be going on. Hopefully some day they will return.
Thanks for letting us know about Pam. Hopefully I will be able to hog tie Curt down and put something fun together for her.
Hugs to all, Mutnik and Curt :0)

Sorry all....Robin is right. We've had to do a lot of last minute switching around the past several teaparties so things aren't finished up until Mon. Working on a plan to help that situation so we can all have some breathing room....
It's kinda my fault we didn't get a cheater email. I didn't get info to Sheri in time. I miss getting them too.
THANKS for sending cards to Pam. Her surgery was last Friday and she is doing well. Here is my 'home health nurse' for Pam. Did you know she's a nurse?

Let me just say we have the nicest people on this site. I try to do the Teapot Tuesday cards (it makes me feel good doing something nice for someone who needs support) and this weeks funny card is a challenge for me. I do not own any funny stamps so I have to really think outside the box. So I had to ask if the card I made this week was funny and the comments I have received are just so super. It is always hard to do a funny card not knowing people and especially not having any funny stamps (hint, hint Santa ). Thank you to all that have looked and commented, I needed the reassurance for this one. You are all so super!!!!
I nearly forgot about teapotters without the email! I have the perfect stamped image. I'll put a card together today. I assume Pam is an adult. With the Patch Adams reference, I wasn't sure, but assume it is for an adult.
When I realized that I was this weeks' recipient on Saturday afternoon, I cried. Silly, but true. My dear friend Karen is a sweetheart. I've received some fabulously silly and heartfelt creations and I am grateful and honored that you all have made them for me. I am healing and grateful that I am on the right track to healthy living again.
With gratitude,
Pam
