Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: Once a year in Las Vegas there is a gathering of florists and flower lovers like you've never seen. All of them competing with the wildest and most outrageous arrangements they can dream up to get the attention of the panel of judges. To be invited to show at this prestigeous event is quite an honor indeed. Miss Betty Lou never fails to impress with her original and somewhat unorthadox works of art.
2: However, this yr Miss Betty Lou has been having some health problems and has had to hire some help to get ourders out and keep the shop running so she can concentrate on her arrangement for the show. It has been a trying time to be sure and at times Miss Betty Lou isn't sure it was worth it, this gal Sally may be artistic but she is so slow that nothing seems to get done in a timely fashion. And Miss Betty Lou has had to correct many a creation before it goes out the door.
3: So it is with with trepidation that she sends Sally ahead to vegas with a list of supplies to find. Miss Betty Lou will come up in another day and put the finishing touches on the arrangement.
4: When Miss Betty Lou arrives at the prep area and finally finds her assistant, she is totally dismayed. The girl has gotten it all wrong!! Well, in all honesty she did get the red roses right but snapdragons instead of violets, statice instead of baby's breath....OH NO!! what am I going to do now, wonders Miss Betty Lou. It's to late to go find the right flowers now. As she paces back and forth, and back and forth trying to come up with a new plan, Sally calmly arranges the flowers in a tall vase and ends up with a wonderful red, white, and blue creation that is almost 3 feet tall and about as wide. It is one massive display of patriotic pride sure to grab attention. Miss Betty Lou just stares aghast at this monstrously huge display and totally is at a loss for words. She can just see her reputation going down the tubes, and is actually looking for a way to sneak out of the arena when the judges head around the corner and march down the row right towards them.
5: "Well, it certainly is large" said one of the other entrants. "Yes, and bright" said another. "But, what were they thinking, putting snapdragons with roses?" "Indeed". Somewhere behind them, they could hear someone state "why, I think I'll do that sometime, the wild with the cultured look y'know" It's all about the contrast". Pretty soon the murmerings were growing louder and louder and Miss Betty Lou found herself the center of attention and not sure where all these "teapotter ladies" were coming from and why they were here but they were sure getting everyone stirred up.
Challenge Translation:
Bring flowers in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Lots of color and bright cheery verses to brighten up the day. No arrangements taller than the judges or you will have to come in the service entrance

Add some encouraging scripture for healing.
