WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY AND CHALLENGE #185
Twas the Day Before Tuesday!
And All Through The Gallery!
Not a Teapotter Was Stirring!
Not Even Sweet Malorie!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. First things first!
Happy Valentines Day, Friends!
2. Searching week after week for suitable teapots to feature, I have bumped into many amazing teapot collector's collections of teapots! I find myself thinking, where do they put all of them? As well, what do their husbands think as more and more teapots come through the door? I think at some point, when bringing new teapots home, a teapot collector must begin to disquise them, hide them, camouflage them within the decor of their home. Like in this picture! Upon entering the room, you don't even see any teapots! You only see a side table and lamp in beautiful pink, I think! Get the picture?
This picture prompts me to tell you a little story of just such a scenario.....
Twas the day before Tuesday, and all through the gallery.
Not a Teapotter was stirring, not even Sweet Malorie!
The teapots were polished that morning with care,
In hopes that JT would not show up there.
The stampers were nestled all snug in their beds.
While visions of cookies danced in their heads.
And Curt in his ‘kerchief, after a long restful nap,
Was chewing the cud and listening to rap!
When out in the tea parlor there arose such a clatter,
The Teapotters wondered what the heck is the matter!
Some ran to the window, some slid across the floor
But most of them headed to the famous back door.
The moon in the sky put on quite a big show
and revealed where the cookies were hidden below.
When suddenly they realized that this was not good.
JT had arrived and was disrupting the hood.
With an annoying mean look and a most definate smirk,
All the Teapotters knew, it must be the jerk!
He immediately noticed! The Teapotters! They came!
And he yelled and he shouted! Despite all their fame!
Oh Fiddlesticks! Dagnabbit! Oh, Bummer! Oh Geeze!
Oh Darn it! Aww Phooey! Oh Man! Geeze Louise!
Up from the sidewalk, to the door at the back!
Now go away! Go Away! And don't you come back!
As sure as the tea to be brewed the next day,
He knew these Teapotters would certainly get their way!
Back down the sidewalk, his feet, they just flew!
A teaparty was planned, its obvious, he just knew!
And then, in a twinkling, he had a heartwarming idear!
Don't cancel their party, they can still have it here!
Despite hating tea, he can turn this thing round,
And through the back door, JT came with a bound.
He was tickled to announce, the teaparty's still on!
He came up with an idea running across his green lawn.
I promise not to despise it if you all promise to disguise it!
Have your cookies, drink you tea, just hide it from me!
His eyes how they sparkled! His smile how merry!
He was actually quite charming, and now not so scarey!
His idea had some merit! His idea had some spunk!
Camouflage our teaparty. Hide the tea from the hunk!
Sweet Malorie is excited, her party's still on!
Thank goodness JT had this idea on the lawn!
She smiled so sweet at her best friend Kelly.
Bring the tea, bring the scones and the homemde jelly!
She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,
While singing out loud, my hubby is so not a jerk!
And laying her finger aside of her nose,
Her heart it just swelled and her admiration, it rose!
He sprang to his feet, to his wife gave a smile,
Out the back door he went, he'd be back in awhile.
But she heard him exclaim, 'ere he walked through the gate.
Happy Valentines Day to All! And to all, have fun with my mate!
Camouflage something on your card. And if you having trouble hiding something and then remembering where you hid it, just make a card using camouflage, pink or otherwise! Just be inspired by the room in which a collection of teapots is camouflaged within the decor! Or bring a teapot camouflaged within your card! Pinks and reds are great in honor of Valentines Day but not required!
EPEC: (Extra Points for Extra Cookies!)
You get extra points for extra cookies if you include a heart in your camouflage card in honor of Valentine's Day and in honor of JT's loving jesture in making his special someone happy by allowing our teaparty to exist this 14th day of February, 2012! You da man JT!
