This is my story!
1. Did you guys know what a sketch was before you signed up at Splitcoast? Well, I knew it was something artists did when they are bored! Something they do when they are sitting in a park. I know if something is sketchy, its not too be trusted. Like the time we we teapartied with Shawn White and our snowboarding was a little sketchy! But, I pretty much didn't know that when I was making a handmade card, the manner in which I laid *stuff* out on my card was creating a sketch! Did you? When I first came upon the Daily Sketch Challenge, I thought to myself, you better stay away from that one, the only thing you can sketch is a bunny butt, kindergarten style! Why am I rambling on about the Sketch Challenge, you'll see, later on.......
2. Okay, so I don't know about you but even though I thought our teaparty at the Academy Awards was fun, to me it was a little stuffy, too prim and proper, a little too fancy schmancy, a little too wear your glamorous stuff kinda night! After 135 teaparties, I think its time we go somewhere fun, somewhere we can let our hair down and not worry so much about behaving to drink our tea! Luckily by doing a little googling I found the perfect location for us! It's called
The Roxbury and it's coming highly recommended as evidenced by this
informational video. I have to say, watching this
promotional video is a requirement of this challenge as I don't want to spend money on transportation to get there, and then have you guys not like
the atmosphere! A Night At
The Roxbury can get very pricey and I want to make sure you guys will enjoy it before I hire limos with plenty of windows to bust out while we are goovin' to the beat!
3. Okay, good! I knew you would want to go there! Don't worry, I can get us in the door. Well, the back door anyway! Meet Rockin' Rocklin, the backdoor bouncer! This bouncer gig is just temporary for him. He has tried out for Dancing with the Stars 42,000 times and is on the verge of gettin' in! He just needs some more dance moves. That's how we are gettin' in
The Roxbury! Oh, don't panick! We only have to bring 71 dance moves! Only 71!! And look, I have already come up with 21 new ones! Only 50 more to go!
1. The Teapot Trot ~ Dance with a teapot on your head.
2. The Chocolate Chip Skip ~ Dance on the way to get another cookie!
3. The Snickerdoodle Noodle! ~ Dance loose, like a noodle.
4. The Peanut Butter Shutter! ~ Move your mouth - peanut butter on the roof?
5. The Truffle Shuffle! ~ Dance wired ~ too much chocolate?
6. The Sugar Lump Bump! ~ Bump with your tiny hiney!
7. The Coffee Cake Crumble! ~ Get those crumbs off your lap!
8. The Whipped Cream Scream! ~ Slipping and a Slidin'
9. The Cupcake Shake! ~ Shake those sprinkles!
10 The Chocolate Syrup Slurp! ~ Do the Splits! Think Banana Split!
Okay, alright already! I will quit thinking Teaparty Treats. Here are some more serious dance moves!

13. The Bust Your Chin Spin! ~ Spin on a whim!

16. The You're in My Turf Smurf!~ Someone wearing blue gets in your way!

18. The Polka Dot Spot Hop ~ Only possible if wearing polka dots!

4. So, pretty much, this is a true inspiration challenge! Hope you didn't miss the link to the inspiration! There are 42,000 things you can bring and since we are coming in the backdoor already! You can't go wrong! Read the dance moves and catch the subtle hints such as teapots, cookies, cupcakes, whipped cream, bees, worms, polka dots, twists, spring, sprinkles, and dancin', dancin', dancin'.
Challenge Translation:
The Dance Floor is huge! The inspirational video is inspirational! The possibilities are endless! The Destination is to show appreciation! You name it, you can bring it!
Teapot Tuesday Destination Station #136:
This week's destination is Michigan! We will be sending our Night at the Roxbury cards to someone named quite appropriately for this challenge! Roxie71! Ah ha! That's why we need 71 dance moves! Oh, wait a minute, what's that Roxie? You know a new dance move? What's it called? The Fetch a Sketch Stretch! Make that 22 dance moves down, 49 to go girls!
Just think about it, tommorrow Roxie will post sketch 323! Can you imagine? I can't! Can you imagine coming up with 323 ways to put paper on a card? I can't! Can you imagine trying to remember if the sketch you want to feature has already been featured? I can't! Can you imagine being responsible to keep it going, getting guest challenge hostesses lined up when you gotta live your own life? I can't! Can you imagine, week after week for 323 weeks? I can't! Can you imagine accomplishing all this and not getting a bunch of thank you cards from the Teapotters? I can't!
Now Roxie will say she has had some help along the way, but Roxie is the Rock when it comes to the Sketch Challenge! Let's thank her, Teapot Tuesday style! So that's the scoup, Teapot Group! We are sending thank you/Night at The Roxbury cards to Roxie!
