MMTPT133 ~ MCWHOO AND MCWHOOLISTER SITTING IN A TREE!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #133
MCWHOO AND MCWHOOLISTER
SITTING IN A TREE!
THANKS YOU GUYS
LETS' TOAST OUR TEA!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. After last weeks teaparty and the fiasco with our air traffic controllers, it feels good to be on to a different adventure. It was fun doing that extreme flying! This week, we are much much more wise! We might be doing more flying, but its more safe, less extreme, and requires some down time sitting on branches while we have our tea! Although, Whoo knew we would find ourselves in such controvesy in the middle of a peaceful little grove of trees.
2. Whoo knew Whooligan Harry would be sitting on a limb, hoping that everyone would all focus on him! Whoo knew Whooligan Harry would be sitting in a tree hooting and hollaring to all he can see! Whoo knew Whooligan Harry would be spinning his head, hoping everyone heard all he just said! Whoo knew Whooligan Harry was hiding his buddies, cuz he thinks they're a couple of fuddy-duddies! Whoo knew Hank McWhoolister and Mac McWhoo were forbidden to appear, stuck in a tree that's not so near!!
3. You are wondering what the controversy is? Every year a competition is held here in the Whooville Community, and the winner earns a seat on the most coveted tree branch in the grove for the entire year. It's supposed to be awarded to the most smart, intelligent and wise but it's usually no more than a pack of lies. You see all owls are very wise and everyone got sick of breaking ties! So now its all about which owl can bring the most new citizens into the Community, a Chamber of Commerce kinda deal. Whooligan Harry has had that coveted seat for the last 42,000 years! That's quite a feat but it's cuz he's a cheat! Hank McWhoolister and Mac McWhoo are much smaller than the big ole bullie Whooligan Harry and they know they can both sit on that coveted tree branch together for an entire year! All they gotta do is bring the most new citizens to Whooville and knock that bullie of his branch!
4. McWhoolister and McWhoo met a couple of owls whoo were on their way back from attending some seminar where they learned everything about air traffic control! Talk about wise! While they were trying to recruit them as new Whooville Citizens, a plan was born! You guessed it! Bring owls, lots of owls! Wise owls, silly owls, owls with long feathers! Happy owls, sad owls, owls with short feathers! Quiet owls, loud owls, owls with big feet! Shy owls, obnoxious owls, owls with small feet. Owls with long eyebrows, owls with big eyes, owls who are funny, goofy or wise! Owls that are white, owls that are brown, owls that hoot and hollar all night!
Whooligan Harry sitting in the tree.
Along comes a buddy offering tea!
Whooligan Harry sitting in a tree.
Two more come and now there's three!
Whooligan Harry sitting in a tree.
Brand new owls are all he can see!
McWhoo and McWhoolister Sitting in a Tree!
Thanks you Guys, Let's Toast our Tea!
Challenge Translation: (As if you need it!)
Bring Owls to the Teaparty ~ A bunch!
Teapot Tuesday Destination Station #133
This week's destination is North Bellmore, New York. We are sending our cards to Marie, the sister of fellow SCSer/Teapotter PhilsMom (Fran) who is quadriplegic as a result of progressive MS. She was recently hospitalized after suffering seizures and could use a little something to brighten her days! Despite being able to only move her head for many years, Marie never complains. She has amazing strength and patience as evidenced by the fact that she has maintained her wonderful her sense of humor since her MS diagnosis when she was just 30 years of age. You guessed it! She loves owls!
For more information about Marie including her address and a list of things that make her happy, please visit Post #175 of The Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Marie. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT133 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
OMG! I just signed on to check that Cindy got my owl card I emailed to her and the gallery has already floored me. The cards are fantastic! (aren't they always?) but if they are making me this happy I can't even imagine the endorphins that will run through my sister when she receives them. I only wish I could convey to you the excitement and joy I feel right now as I look at each of your creations. Thank you so very very much. You ALL are truly a blessing in my life and I know Marie will benefit from this spiritually, emotionally & physically. (She can still smile, if not much else can move, her smile still works).
Thanks to WishRAK, I have an owl image, and my pad from DCWV has some owl paper - so here I am, actually paying a bit of attention to the tea pot this week LOL!!!
I've brought along a round dozen owls and a batch of Hoot Owl cookies. Oh no, I think all the cookies are gone, the owls must have eaten them on the flight over. Box of Owls Box of Owls closed Owl, Moon, Wood
Two weeks in a row & I'm not on the late thread  I was beginning to think I might be, because this card just started to take on a life of it's own! How long did it take, I'll never tell! lol 'm just hoping it cheers Marie up!
Well, and you'd be right! But it's fashionable to be late in Europe and so here you can see and read why...
I am sorry... this took several days of coloring (very theraputic, but if I don't get a grip on things besides stamps, colored pencils and punches I will lose my job and the rest of my life).
Ladies it is so much fun to be here at the teaparty with you. Please forgive me if I don't post or comment as much in the next while...
SCS and teaparties are addictive (dangerously so)...
Take care and hugs to you all!

You know, it gives so much pleasure to make cards for someone who will appreciate it. I wonder who really is the winner when we get to display and send....
....oh...here is the rest of the quote from above: turn around the letters and SMILE!
