Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #236
The garden has been invaded are the ladybugs sedated?
All was not well in Millicent’s Garden.
It was usually kept as neat as a pin.
Blossoms were dropping and her plants were thinning.
The war with garden pests, Millicent was not winning.
She’s an organic gardener and wouldn’t think of spraying.
This was the worst time for beneficials to be straying.
Where could these wonderful pest wranglers be?
Just then Millicent heard a tiny voice yell, "Yahtzee"
She tiptoed past her ailing daffodils and drooping tea roses
Only to discover a tiny table set up near her garden hoses.
Sitting there were four spotted red ladybugs
With a Yahtzee game and four coffee mugs.
Was she hallucinating? She gulped and wondered.
While 42,000 aphids were feasting on her floribundas
these ladybugs were enjoying a coffee klatch.
Millicent thought she’d end up in the booby hatch!
And then she turned to see a group of mantises
eating dark chocolate and playing Scrabble!
Would the straight jacket fit? - she started to babble.
She’d rather faint than wind up in restraints.
The ladybugs and mantises understood her plight they knew they had to do what is right.
They’ll continue their game play another day
but for now, please stay out of their way.
They’ve got an important job to do
and finish it before Millicent comes to.
The ladybugs lined up like jets on a runway
looking forward to feasting on an aphid buffet.
The mantises took off without delay
they’ll continue their game another day.
The mantises flew to the orchard and soared to great heights
to save the emerging apple blossoms by chomping on the mites.
The ladybugs raced to the daffodil patch
A ladybug’s appetite for aphids is unmatched.
These beneficials then joined forces and attacked the scale
They didn’t stop until they got every last pest without fail.
Millicent yawned and rubbed her eyes
She finally got up to find a surprise.
Her flowers, like her, had recovered
The daffodils perked up, as the ladybugs hovered.
Her apple blossoms were no longer tortured;
Millicent could look forward to a fruit filled orchard.
Her garden had been rehabilitated and saved
and the beneficials learned that they need to behave.

Hey y'all, we have lots of teapotters with birthdays this week. The girls are getting the party ready and ordered lots of extra cookies so c'mon over and wish these gals a happy birthday..

We as people are raindrops of colorful ink , falling down Crisp and Clear, each a different shade more vibrant then the last, but once we realize at the bottom of an endless abyss we all fall into the same inkpot forming one color, only then can we come together as one My son.
What a fun teaparty this week Fran...thx so much.. I don't have daffodils so I'm sending some help for Millicent to keep those beneficials in line a little better from now on...
Same thing happened to me last week. I know I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is. I've got too many http// in my link but I can't get rid of the extras.
Here is mine. I accidently hit enter on my computer before I had finished writing in the additional information section. I did go back and "edit" it, but it is still blank. I am very sorry ladies, I will try an edit it again later. The important thing is my card is in the mail for Marian. I have stuff out on my desk ready to go for today... and then life happened. My Teapot Tuesday will have to be Wednesday instead.

I got a card made for today's challenge. I'm not uploading it since what I did basically was case another card in the gallery but I wanted to have something to send....
GF....get yourself over to the left hand column and upload this to the gallery so you can get some lovins for this fun card...we all CASE someone on occasion, just give credit to the one who inspired you....it's all good..
Alas, have my card made for several days but Fri. my printer was only printing everything yellow, went to Dell on line as was new as of This past Dec.--computer and printer, as was told old printer was no compatiable but was a great one. Friday they said would send new ink and and whatever printer head is as mine must have died LOL and said you should be able to put it in--LOL they do not know me. Got call yesterday and not sent out yet but did not say why, so will comment til get new printer head.

here is my card, sorry so late, she was flying so slow as she had to visit with all the other lady bugs along the way.
Real reason is that what they called a printhead got here today and had to put in and do a print check--so Yeah!!!
Ladies - - I cannot thank you enough for your splendid response to my mom's Teapot Tuesday!!! She calls me everyday with the news of what came in the mail and where it came from. Honestly - she is just as excited about the cards as she is about the city, state and country that they came from.....
