Thank you. He really does have the best little personality, very loving, wraps his little arms around my neck for loves. Poor thing has really taken the place of my kids as they are grown now. Everyone needs a little unconditional love.

No teapots in the sky here, just that big ole thing called the sun. It's 73 here on the porch, in the shade and warmer out in the sunshine. This must be the summer we didn't have last year until fall. You should see the fat robins...

Cindy, is that a flying teapot for this coming Tuesday's party?

Glacier National Park - Glacier National Park Webcams (U.S. National Park Service)
Here's another set of webcams I look at daily. It really makes me appreciate the weather we get here in Sonoma County, Ca.
Nice to look at, glad that I don't have to deal with it...

A teapot cloud???!!!! Only you Mudder, only you!

Max looks sooooo sweet.....and a tad cold! Should put a sweater on him. hehe

You know I saw an interesting thing early Friday morning in the brisk outside while cleaning a pool. Two "frozen" flamingos who should have had sweaters on too. hehe The mist formed this way cool frame around them as I snapped the photo with my phone. Here, take look.....(wink wink on the photo and frozen flamingos. Frozen flamingos in California, yeah right) :0)

Oooh... California. I think I would so love to be there right now. As if it's not cold enough here right now, the wind has decided to pick up now. Brrr... Believe it or not, Max does have a little doggie closet full of clothes but he refuses to wear them. If I put a sweater on him he looks at me like, "Really, Mom?" So we just keep the Snugglie blanket out for him all the time. Hehe. He's not spoiled. Between him and his little sister, Peelo, a dachsund, the blankets are always in use. By the way, love the flamingos.

That is a wonderful flower garden!! Best of all, you don't have to tend it and it doesn't grow weeds! No bugs also!

Thanks for that bright spot. Here in Ca. we have a gorgeous sunny day with temp in the low 60s.

Here is a story about my DD, Jessica. A couple of months ago, she decided to learn to ride a horse. She took a lesson which turned into a lot of lessons. The lady at the stables saw how much she loved riding and that she was actually pretty good at it. So she introduced my DD to a friend of hers that had a horse for her daughter but the daughter just wasn’t into riding all that much anymore . So the poor horse just stayed put in his little stall. UNTIL…….DD came into the picture. The lady leased Max to my daughter. After the first month she saw such an improvement in Max and the love Jessica had for him that last Tuesday she surprised Jessica by “giving” Max to her. How way cool is that! Today DD and some friends trailered their horses up to Bodega Bay and went riding on the beach. As you can see from one of the pictures Max and Jessica were having a blast.
You know, all this horse stuff got me to thinking. My daughter is now a “Cow-girl”. hehe I couldn’t love her more, unless of course she was to buy a “Cow”…..........again hehe…..enjoy the photos. :0)

Cupcakes? Cake? Where's all the cake? I always miss the good stuff. Must have cake. Of course, maybe thats how my hiney got to looking the way it does. Hehe

Mutnik, great pics of DD and Max. Reminds me of my DD and her horse. We rodeod for many years and then with the knee injuries, back injuries and college (DH,myself and DD) we had to give it up. We have one horse left that DD rides. Sad, I miss those days but your pics brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing those.

Mutnik, wonderful story and pics of your DD and her new friend!! They passed nearby here on the way to Bodega Bay. As the photo shows, it was a beautiful day at the beach. There's a webcam there too, that I check out daily. It's a nice one to check, cuz we can see if it's foggy or beautiful and sunny like the day your DD had. In other words. why go to the coast if it's fogged in.

1. Whoo Hoo Cat! (catgondek) ~ Some of you may remember when I told you about Cat's son who was working with an IBM team *teaching* an IBM computer how to play Jeopardy and it would be televised when the computer played the game! Well, that happened just these week on NOVA, the Smartest Machine on Earth is the name of the show. Wowza, you have a smart kid, Cat! Anyway, Cat was nice enough to share the information with us and we can all see the show! Congrats Cat, you must be SO proud! Wowza! This is WAY over my head! Yikes!

First of all! No Fair! I must be getting more Winter! I could not see the flowers!!!! I drug my mouse, and nuttin happened! Well, maybe I shouldn't have drug my mouse, maybe he would do better being sober! I will try it on the other puter!

Curthy! I am excited for your daughter! She's so cute with her new horsey friend! There is nuttin better than having a horse for a friend! like Foxy says, growing up I rope cows with my dad, barrel raced with my best friend Sassy, and was my High School Rodeo Queen....I wonder where my leather tooled crown is?? Snort! Oh the memories! She will love her new buddy forever and what a wonderful sport to keep her busy and out of trouble! Awww...gives me warm fuzzies and the fact that she is a COW girl...rut roh, Curt is moooooving in on the family!

So am I too late for cupcakes?

Don't forget! Jeopardy on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night! Cheer for Watson!

Default Show and Tell in a Public Bathroom!

Only sharing this goofy story that I got in an email because its oh, so true!! Ha!

One for the Girls……………

OKAY GIRLFRIENDS, THIS ONE IS REALLY FUNNY.....ENJOY!!! LOL
And you guys will finally understand why we take so long.

When you have to visit a public toilet, you usually find a line of women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet under the cubicle doors.

Every cubicle is occupied.

Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking down the woman leaving the cubicle. You get in to find the door won't latch. It doesn't matter, the wait has been so long you are about to wet your pants!

The dispenser for the modern 'seat covers' (invented by someone's Mum, no doubt) is handy, but empty. You would hang your bag on the door hook, if there was one, so you carefully, but quickly drape it around your neck, (Mum would turn over in her grave if you put it on the FLOOR!) down with your pants and assume ' The Stance.

In this position, your aging, toneless, thigh muscles begin to shake. You'd love to sit down, but having not taken time to wipe the seat or to lay toilet paper on it, you hold 'The Stance.'

To take your mind off your trembling thighs, you reach for what you discover to be the empty toilet paper dispenser.

In your mind, you can hear your mother's voice saying, 'Dear, if you had tried to clean the seat, you would have KNOWN there was no toilet paper!' Your thighs shake more.

You remember the tiny tissue that you blew your nose on yesterday - the one that's still in your bag (the bag around your neck, that now you have to hold up trying not to strangle yourself at the same time). That would have to do, so you crumple it in the puffiest way possible. It's still smaller than your thumbnail.

Someone pushes your door open because the latch doesn't work.
The door hits your bag, which is hanging around your neck in front of your chest and you and your bag topple backward against the tank of the toilet.

'Occupied!' you scream, as you reach for the door, dropping your precious, tiny, crumpled tissue in a puddle on the floor, while losing your footing altogether and sliding down directly onto the TOILET SEAT. It is wet of course. You bolt up, knowing all too well that it's too late. Your bare bottom has made contact with every imaginable germ and life form on the uncovered seat because YOU never laid down toilet paper - not that there was any, even if you had taken time to try.

You know that your mother would be utterly appalled if she knew, because you're certain her bare bottom never touched a public toilet seat because, frankly, dear, 'You just don't KNOW what kind of diseases you could get.

By this time, the automatic sensor on the back of the toilet is so confused that it flushes, propelling a stream of water like a fire hose against the inside of the bowl and spraying a fine mist of water that covers your bum and runs down your legs and into your shoes.

The flush somehow sucks everything down with such force and you grab onto the empty toilet paper dispenser for fear of being dragged in too.

At this point, you give up. You're soaked by the spewing water and the wet toilet seat. You're exhausted. You try to wipe with a sweet wrapper you found in your pocket and then slink out inconspicuously to the sinks.

You can't figure out how to operate the taps with the automatic sensors, so you wipe your hands with spit and a dry paper towel and walk past the line of women still waiting

You are no longer able to smile politely to them. A kind soul at the very end of the line points out a piece of toilet paper trailing from your shoe. (Where was that when you NEEDED it?)

You yank the paper from your shoe, plonk it in the woman's hand and tell her warmly, 'Here, you just might need this.

As you exit, you spot your hubby, who has long since entered, used and left the men's toilet. Annoyed, he asks, 'What took you so long and why is your bag hanging around your neck?

This is dedicated to women everywhere who deal with any public toilets It finally explains to the men what really does take us so long. It also answers that other commonly asked question about why women go to the toilets in pairs. It's so the other girl can hold the door, hang onto your bag and hand you Kleenex under the door.

This HAD to be written by a woman! No one else could describe it so accurately.

Send this to all women that need a good laugh.

Was it just me, or did anyone else stop and think "Black Magic technique" when the flowers started popping up? does this mean I've been on splitcoast too often????

Na, never!!

Okay, I'm still chuckling about the toilet "adventure"! It is so true too! In my family we refer to the "stance" as "hovering".

Thanks for the laughs!!

OMG, the public bathroom saga was hilarious, not to mention so true.

Cathy, I loved the photos and story about your DD and her new horse. Oh, how I long to stroll along a beach with sand and water, as opposed to snow and ice as far as the eye can see. They say good things come to those who wait... I'm just not sure I can wait long enough for this frozen tundra to thaw. LOL

Oh, I'm never going into a public bathroom again!.....just gonna find me a bush with lot's of leaves!......Okay, I'm still going to use the public bathrooms. Just gonna keep my eyes open for things missing and always carry a kleenux in my pocket! hehe

Love the flowers bursting on the black magic screen. hehe Reminded me of fireworks.

That's a lot of SNOW! Wowzers! Sorry Broom, maybe we need to send you lot's of "spring time" cards to help you get through all that cold snowy weather! Trust me, spring is on it's way. The trees here are getting all those "lovely" white and pink flowers on them. I say "lovely" in a not so happy way because they will then fall into the pools looking like "floating snow"!....and boy are they heavy!

Well, made me some chocolate covered crackers, going to turn on the TV, do some drawing and just relax. All that extra special cleaning yesterday made me sore. hehe
Have a great Sunday ya'll :0)

Default lost and forlorn female hummer

I've noticed this little hummer sitting in the clematis, near the feeder, when she should be on her nest. It appears that she realizes that her eggs weren't going to make it. She looks so lost and forlorn. Luckily I noticed a male is back, so there's hope.
You see, once the female gets the nest built, she chases the males away. The males have no part in the nest building, incubation, or rearing of the baby chicks.

I hope to see her belly get bigger soon. Maybe this time she will build her nst where I can watch.
