Oh, Elizabeth!!

That is such wonderful news - I am so glad she has let her heart be healed and gone on to see that she was never the problem! She is a stronger woman because of it - and now we shall pray that the Lord leads her to someone who will honor and cherish her for the fantastic person she is!! Great news!! Give her a big hug from me!!

Elizabeth, thanks for the update. Alix sounds like a very strong woman. She went through a lot and dealt with it quite well. Kudos to her! May she keep up the strong spirit! :0)

WOW! Sorry to hear that. By having the surgery, will it take care of the problem? Prayers to you. It sounds like the same thing my twin sister has, she's in pain all the time with her legs.

Thought I'd share a mug shot of my beautiful dog Kodi. He is a sweet sweet Chow. He sleeps at my feet whenever I'm crafting and you may remember I accidentally spilled glitter on him. When we went for a walk that evening all the other dog owners were teasing me about glittered dog, he sparkled in the moonlight like you wouldn't believe!

Maybe you've started a new fashion trend with him? He's a good looking dog. Haute-dog-couture?
I'd love to have him laying at my feet... He looks so soft and cuddly!

Now that's warm and fuzzy! Kodi must be a great foot warmer! Get glitter in that fur, and it's gonna take a long time to get it all out! He's adorable, Elizabeth!

Elizabeth your dog is DARLING!!! He'd make for a great foot warmer too. I can just picture him with glitter in all that fur. He surely made the other dogs jealous! hehe TFS :0)

I thought I would share information about an article I read this morning.
Our Sunday paper has a supplement called American Profile. Today there is an article about a teacher in Evansville, MN who sponsors a club (first graders) whose purpose is to make and send cards to those who have special needs. It sounds a lot like the TeaPotters to me.
Good for her!
Here is (I hope) a link to the article:
Minnesota Students Share Cards and Kindness – American Profile

How nice it is to read about a teacher and kids doing this kind of activity.

Oh wow...Dorothy, thx so much for sharing that....I'm sitting here with the warmest fuzzy feeling of all times....how wonderful for her to start and maintain that. I've been working with one of our church school teachers who is just starting this kind of ministry with her 1st and 2nd grade students...I certainly hope we are still going in a decade...such a great way to teach the value of service...

I just read the article and it is so great! As a teapotter we KNOW what good a little kindness does for those less fortunate than us. Everyone has a day or two or many more, that a little kindness goes a LONG way! I think it is great that these children are learning at a YOUNG age what we are about! Thanks for the info!

Awwww, SO BEAUTIFUL -

God bless her for starting these children on a mission of kindness and caring at such a young age - it was a seed that was nourished by her and grew as they got older and realized its worth - this is WONDERFUL!

The hummers know what to look for, as this is the second year I have had the balls for them. Other birds collect form the balls too. Even placing an old fashioned string mop outdoors will attract nesting birds for the materials. These are Anna's hummers and are here year around. Last year I had a female nesting in my wind chimes right out the front door.

Jill, I like your shot of the mourning doves sitting in front of the barbecue. It as if they are waiting for the heat to come on and warm them.
We have horses and the hummers always have the horse hair in their nests. In fact it's mostly the hair. I feed them and enjoy watching them so much. Also I have used the netting like say from a bag of oranges and put in yarn, thread and horse hair from the brushes. Never thought of cotton. Now it's cold and we have two feet + of snow on the ground so I have a lot of cardinals, blue jays, juncos, two kinds of woodpeckers, wrens, strawberry finches and some mourning doves. I have a big feeder and I make a feed that I spread on the trees. They go nuts for it. I love watching the birds.

Hey Sylvia- your place sounds like a god place to stop for food and nesting materials. Horse hair is wonderful, as is dog hair. Oh how I would love to see cardinals, but not here! The hummers are busy right now with nesting, I think they're on their second clutch.

Wanted to share a message I got from Karen (redbugdriver):

I just wanted you all to know that I miss Teapot Tuesday. This dang knee still won't let me do the stairs. Maybe in the next couple of weeks I'll be heading to the stamp table. I am starting some stair movements in rehab now so I know I'm on my way. I am walking unaided, so that's an improvement & I'm taking short walks when the weather permits.
I hope to join you all real soon.
Teapotter hugs,
Karen
