Georgia is a beauty! I'm so glad to hear she's back to 100%.
Very clever way to hang the cards for photographing.

Thanks Cindy for creating the destination station... I love being a part of happiness it brings to the recipients.

I am so sorry I am so behind with cards -- it has been a bit of a up and down time for me of late. But my cards for Gery and Andrew will be on their way today -- I have not posted them to the gallery as they are cards I had already made before. I still wanted to send them something even though it was not in relation to the teapot for that week.
I also have a couple of cards here for Dante and his brave wee sister so will get those off as soon as we have more details.
I wish I could do more but my Mum was admitted to hospital yesterday as her cancer has spread -- she had collapsed and when they did the CT scan they found that it has moved to her skull -- it is not in her brain which is a blessing so lets just hope that when they start the chemo it will slow it down from getting there.
Again thank you to all who sent Georgia cards -- she still is enjoying them and has decided she will hang what she can on her pin board and swap them around.
Hugs Kim xx

Default TEAPOT TUESDAY #107 DESTINATION STATION.

TEAPOT TUESDAY
DESTINATION STATION 107

The focus of our Destination Station this week is Dante........Dante is 8 years old and recently had a bone marrow transplant. His younger sister, Julia, was the donor. How is that for a couple of brave kids? Dante was brought to my attention by Bev (Beestamper) in her original thread here. You can see Dante and his siblings and some pretty creative artwork in Dante's hospital room on his mother's blog.

We are taking our fisherman teaparty to Dante this week by sending our cards to him. And guess what? Dante loves fishing! What normal little boy doesn't right teapotters?

Please do not send your cards to the address in Bev's original thread as it is the hospital where the bone marrow transplant was done. Please send your cards to the address listed below which was provided to us by Dante's mother. It's a way to get Dante's cards to him while his schedule for his return home is not quite known.

Dante Erk
C/O Tara Dalton
520 Brushy Mount Rd
Gretna, Va. 24557

Now for those of you who have a stash of happy cards, I was thinking it might be fun to send one to Julia too! So that's an option if you so wish!

Thank you everyone!!

My Fly Fishing Bear will go off to Dante in the morning. I'm digging through my stash to find a card for Julia too. Thanks Bev and Cindy for bringing this to our attention. It makes Teapot Tuesday even MORE fun!

Dante's card is finished and Julia's is nearly done -- I had a couple here that I was going to use and then due to my Uncle passing yesterday I took today off -- so I decided to make them cards that were more fun. I don't work tomorrow so I will get Julia's finished and they will be in the post in the afternoon. I will have to add some NZ goodies to this parcel also me thinks -- mmmm I wonder what 3 beautiful children would like -- I think I will make a card for Gabe also -- how can you not -- they are such beautiful children and have all been through so much ... Sure do love making children smile.

Tangent... I still have so many Rubbernecker stamps. I used to work at that booth when it was owned by the original owner in So Cal. and she would have booths at the Rubberamas! I have fond memories whenever I see the company name. I just went and looked at the web site.... I have so many of the same stamps. Well, back to Andrew -- I just sent my card today. Not baseball. It has cork on it, and a heart. Darker masculine colors. I think he will like it. What a great idea Queen Mothermark

Blessings, Lela

Hi Lela! Well, if you have a bunch of Rubbernecker stamps, you are a lucky one! All their stamps are awesome. I have worked in the Rubbernecker Booth with Dave, the new owner, on three separate occasions and it sounds like Dave is following in the same footsteps as the original owner by creating fond memories. I will tell him *your story* when I see him on the 28th in Greeley, Colorado.

I bet your card is perfect for Andrew and I appreciate you taking the time to make a special one and send it off. We are hearing good things from Andrew's family, he is having a wonderful time opening up envelopes! Yay!

Thank you!

Thank you very much.....We would love to have you dance!!! Maybe you can teach us all something....like the mash potatoe! Snort! Wasn't that a dance or am I confusing it with Thanksgiving dinner????

I forgot to ask, has anyone heard from Gery? Has her mail been happier these days?

TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION #108

This week's destination is Alea, a 14 year old who was brought to my attention by fellow teapotter Marilynn (Apandi). Alea is the daughter of a good friend of Marilynn's. Marilynn got to know Alea because of her interest in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Marilynn is a Tour Guide at the Molly Brown House Museum in Denver, Colorado and enjoyed giving Alea the tour. How cool is that?

Alea has had a really rough year and a half or so. Her initial surgery a year ago was due to a slipped vertebrae which has led to several infections and hospitalizations since. Some of the hardware that was placed in her back needed to be removed in June and since then she has been hospitalized once again for infection. She just came through her latest surgery with an open wound and vacuum and is now home anxiously awaiting her return to school once she is recovered.

Alea loves sports especially volleyball, softball and swimming and has not been able to participate in any this summer. She has a feminine side as well loving girly girl things so your cards will be cherished I am sure! Thanks for lifting her spirits as she recovers from her latest surgery and looks forward to getting back to school with her friends!

Here is her address:

Alea Mulqueen
2569 Quintero Way
Aurora, Co 80013

Thank you everyone!!

Hi ladies... my lady friend Shirleythat was in the nursing home with terminal cancer. Passed away friday morning. her family says to say "Thank You" for all the beautiful card's you sent here while she was in the nursing home. I went to WI. to see my son and when I got back she took a turn for the worse. She had a bad night with breathing, the night before, but she was a trooper. I'm glad she's not suffering any more. I will really miss her. I have had her in the prayer request too.

Aww Pat! I am so sorry to hear the news about your friend! I know you have spent so much time with her and I am happy that she had that time with you. She is in a better place now, no more worrying, suffering, now she is at peace. Hugs to you.

Hope you had a nice visit with Patrick!
