Taylored Expressions is proud to announce the premiere of a new and exciting stamping talent competition, Last Card Standing. Based in part on popular reality competitions such as Last Comic Standing, Project Runway, and Chopped, we are looking for the very best and creative card-makers to stamp their way to the top. Each week, finalists will be challenged to create a themed card for a panel of celebrity judges in hope of avoiding elimination. Finally, the Top 5 Finalists will be voted on by the public, with the stamper receiving the most votes to win the title of Last Card Standing!
What’s at stake? An amazing prize package that includes a 3 month subscription to the Key Ingredients kit club plus 2 full size stamp sets of the winner's choice and a coveted Guest Designer spot for the November/December Release!

We’re thrilled to announce the celebrity panel of judges who will help narrow down the field to our Top 5 Finalists:
About our Judges: Lori Craig is known for her classic, lovely style. A working mom, Lori works her behind-the-scenes magic as Advertising Account Manager for Splitcoaststampers and is a Copic Certification Instructor. Her work has appeared in Crafts 'N Things and Annie's Attic.
A Dirty Dozen Alum, Michele Boyer has designed for a bevy of companies who seek out her amazing coloring technique. Her work has been published in many major publications, including Paper Crafts and Canadian Scrapbooker.
A wonderful instructor, Sharon Harnist has worked with some of the most talented creative artists in the industry. Her gorgeous work can be found in numerous publications, including Paper Creations and Cardmaker magazines.
The competition begins today with our Open Casting Round. To enter, simply upload your best cards to your Splitcoaststampers Gallery using keyword: TELASTCARD. For this round, ANYTHING GOES -- Birthday, Thank You, Holidays, Get Well, Congratulations...the sky’s the limit! The only requirement is that you use at least 1 stamped image from Taylored Expressions. Do you have a card that you think could get you a callback to the next round? Go for it -- submissions do NOT have to be a new creation for the Open Casting Round and you may enter as many cards as you want! Both new and old projects will be considered.
Deadline for submission to Open Casting Round: Thursday, September 20, 2012 by 11:59 pm PST.
Finalists will be chosen to move on to the next round and announced here in the Taylored Expressions SCS Forum on Monday, September 24, 2012 and will be notified of official rules and guidelines for the next week’s challenge at that time. From these projects, the Judges will decide who receives callback invitations, with those making the cut notified of the final challenge details on Monday, October 1, 2012. From these Finalists, the Top 5 will be announced on Monday, October 8, 2012. Finalists will be asked to create 2-3 challenge projects, total. Voting for the winning contestant begins Monday, October 8, 2012. The winner of Last Card Standing will be announced on Monday, October 15, 2012.
Don’t have any stamps from Taylored Expressions but would still like to join in on the fun? We’ve got digital images that you can use on your card (see attached file). Who knows? Your card just might be chosen to be featured on the Taylored Expressions Facebook page or in the TE Newsletter ~ we’re always on the lookout for rising stars...or you could even find yourself a Finalist!
As the competition gets going, we’d love to see who YOUR favorites are. Post the cards that catch your eye here on this thread. Remember, the winner of Last Card Standing will be chosen by YOU, the audience. And don't forget to grab your Last Card Standing sidebar badge below!

I just made a card yesterday for this challenge, and wanted to upload it today, but I've never uploaded anything to Splitcoaststampers. I always use Flicker. Where do I upload it?? Do I go onto a specific gallery? I don't have a gallery....do I need to make one up? Sorry for all the questions, but I finally have a good card for a challenge and I REALLY want to participate!!

Hey Kimberly,
Here are instructions for uploading your card. Let me know if you have any questions or troubles. Look forward to seeing it in the gallery!
Click on Upload a Card (on the left side of the page)
When the page comes up the default category should read Member Galleries. You should leave it at Member Galleries
Click Choose File to and find the jpeg image where you saved it on your computer.
Enter a title and description for your card and click Upload/Submit.
When the next page comes up, you should see your card on the left side. Fill out the empty boxes with the appropriate information:
Description is a little blurb about it
Keyword: make sure you enter TELASTCARD (all caps, no spaces). This is how we will find your card for the contest.
Stamps, Ink, Paper, Accessories: put what you used.
Technique: if you used a certain technique, put it here
Then hit Process Files - may take a couple minutes. If you are a member of the SCS Fan Club then you will see your card immediately. If you are not a member of the Fan Club then your card will need to be manually approved by a moderator and it may take a while to show up.

This is such a FUN way to have this contest... it reminds me of my fave show: The Voice. So, i threw in a few cards for my efforts. Would love to have the honor of being guest designer. I LOVE TE stamps & dies!!
The entries keep coming in and they are AMAZING! Remember, you only have until this Thursday, just before midnight to upload your cards...then the nail-biting begins!

I was really hoping to get another card in there, but I don't have the time. So excited to get to participate and I am loving all the cards that have been uploaded. Lots of AWESOME talent out there. =)
