Taylored Expressions just wouldn't be able to do without our fabulous and talented design team, the Baker's Dozen. Many of you have seen our designers' wonderful and creative work during our monthly product releases and we would love for you to get to know them better. Each month, we'll introduce you to one of our lovely team members who will share some of their favorite projects, lend some helpful tips, or just plain get their crafty groove on here in the Forum! So, stop by, say 'hi,' and get acquainted with one of the best design teams around.
STEPHANIE KRAFT
My name is Stephanie Kraft, and I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona with my husband and 9 year-old daughter. I was born and raised in California and while there I lived in the suburbs of Los Angeles, in San Luis Obispo and in the Bay Area. I have scrapbooked since the mid-1990s and was introduced to stamping/cardmaking 9 years ago. I started blogging 4 years ago, and ever since then stamping has become part of my daily creative therapy!
It's hard to put my style into one category, though I can definitely say that it is not Clean & Simple. I like lots of layers, and at times my style can be elegant, shabby chic, graphic and/or cutesy depending on what images/patterns I use and in my mood! I love to add stitching onto my projects, and I probably sew on 90% of my cards and layouts.
I typically spend 1-2 hours on a card and twice that much on a scrapbook layout. I like starting with a sketch (but do not always). I start by choosing my stamps and patterned papers, then I add embellishments from there.
My true passion lies in scrapbooking. I enjoy making scrapbook and Project Life layouts the most as allow me to record and preserve my family memories.
I enjoy cooking (not baking though because I do not like to measure!), photography and visiting National Parks with my family.
Favorite products in the TE store: Stamps, Taylored Dies and Patterned Paper (I especially love stamps with coordinating dies).
