I have the realize band but it's basically the same as the lap band. I had it done back March 2010. I lost 125lb within the first 10 months with no fills. Since I have gained about 30lbs back just because of being at that comfortable place and because I didn't have a fill, I eventually was able to get more food down than I needed to. I myself can't do alot of sugar and I do well with my food choices still and gave up anything carbonated. My problem is I do well all week and then want to wine some on the weekends and the Wine kills me. It's a natural sugar so I have no issues but it's still extra sugar I shouldn't have. I've been lazy with the exercising too. Summertime there is just no routine and it's been so hot. No excuses but That's why. Once school starts up again I plan to get that going again. I've recently have had 2 fills and I have 3cc's in and I'm feeling more restriction and It's Awesome. Some advise I can share is I wish I would have gotten my fills earlier to help as a preventative. Also Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople has alot of support for the band so check that out maybe. Oh and learn to Meditate if u can. It has helped me sooo much. xoxo
