Hi All!
I'm a new stampin up demonstrator but I'm a hobby demonstrator. There are so many ideas I'd like to try but I have 2 young daughters at home and it's hard to get time & space to create new cards! I love to peruse the forums and groups on here. The ladies are so humorous! I also like to scrapbook and tinker around with stamping wheels, etc.

I 'm a new demonstrator. . . since February. I've only had one booking and it went pretty well. I'm working on setting up some other venues this summer.

What wanted to know is is there a difference between the Red and White Sizzix Big Kick and the perwinkle colored one ... The Red and White one is half the price but does the higher price one a newer model and better... I am totally confused on which one is better... Any help with this matter is welcome...I am excited about getting one so I can makeu own jewelry cards for the jewelry that I make

Hi, I'm new to SCS and LOVE your site! I am fairly new to making cards. I say "fairly" new because I have been doing "my own thing" with making cards but now I want to make cards using my Big Shot and other dies I just got. Plus I want to learn how to stamp. My question is:

Is there a list so that when I sit down to make a card, I know what order my card creating should be in. In other words, "step one: card stock; step two: theme ..."

What is happening is that I finished a pretty card and then go "opps, I could have added ribbons or pearls."

I did a search for "card making list" "steps to make scrapbook cards" .... zip.

Thanks! I know this seems so "obvious" to experienced card makers. But for first time, I like to work off a "list" to make sure I am making it the prettiest card possible.

Sheri in Arizona (oh yeah and what glue would you recommend for our HOTTER than HELL state so the card stays together for a long time?

THANKS AGAIN!

Hi Sheri & welcome!!

First of all the glue. I'm recently a convert to glue rather than inline adhesives - glue never fails me! I use Tombow Multi from Stampin' Up! It has a teeny opening so I get just the amount I need.

On your first question I think you just let your own taste be the guide - if you like it, you're not missing a step.

Also, check out our daily challenges - those always encourage me to step up my current ideas!

Thank you! That was a fast reply. I appreciate your tip on the glue. I'll look up "Stampin' Up!" and see what that is all about too.

I'll be checking out the daily challenges. This will get me to think "out side the cardstock"! hehe!

Guess I got a message about new to SU. But NOPE..I'm not a demonstrator for SU. I really love their products though. I'm just a long time stamper, and I teach a little class for a Library book store. Lots of fun, thanks for asking!

Default Introducing myself

Greetings from Atlanta,

I had heard of this site years ago but never got a chance to "visit". I joined a couple of days ago but can't go to certain areas of the entire site or reply to certain threads. Is there a reason for that? Looking forward to learning, growing and sharing as a crafter in this community.

Default I'm a newbie.

I've been stampin for about three months with my stampin buddy. I'm hooked and find this hobby to be fun and inspirational. So much to learn, but excited because I finally will have time since I'm going to retire this year. Hope to be making new friends and sharing stamping info and ideas.

Congrats on your upcoming retirement!

Stamping is a great hobby and you've chosen a great time to start!
The one bit of advice I can give is don't be afraid to try stuff that you think might work (stuff that you haven't seen someone else do). You could end up creating the next big trend!
I hope you enjoy your time here and I hope you make some great friends!

I am jealous. I would love to demonstrate, but my health doesn't allow me to drive out of my little town of a creative waste land. I do almost all purchasing from the internet. I have way to much stuff in my head and would have fun sharing & learning with others. I have thought about recording videos maybe???

Hello! Not new to card making or Stampin Up but signed up to be a demonstrator last week. Starting out as a hobby demo - I'm definitely my own best customer - and am looking to start using my huge collection of supplies. Definitely need to start being creative! Signed up for the demo group - can't wait to start meeting everyone and to be inspired!

Default New

Hello Everyone! I am new here. It's only been a year since I started this new hobby of making cards. I am looking into being a Stampin Up Demo. Still trying to convince my husband that this would not be a waste of time. My question today is if anyone has an idea for a baby birth announcement? My daughter had a baby boy and I am having a hard time finding a design I like.
Hope to hear from you soon. I cannot wait to really dig into all this site has to offer.
Take care
