Just wanted to say hi! I'm new to SCS and a new SU! demo. I recently moved to MD and was hoping that this could be a way to meet people. Haven't been able to find anyone locally to be a hostes yet. Hopefully soon.

I even had an Open House... sent out 50 invites, and no one showed.

Hopefully things will turn around soon.

The same thing happened to me when I first joined. Apparently durring one of my routine computer system maintenance sweeps, I deleted the SCS cookie. I had to go back and set up a rule to allow "cookies" from SCS. Apparently this is a common occurance. Good luck!

You'll just have to take my word for it that it's ME answering, lol! "Post" is how you ask questions. As you can see, your questions "posted" just fine!

If you are reading a discussion (thread) and want to answer, click "reply." If you want to start a thread, do what you did and click on the post new thread button.

I can see you are new to Splitcoast Stampers, lol. Are you new to stamping as well? Tell us more, please!

Welcome, welcome!

Smile Hi There

Once I noticed my question was there, I started doing other stuff and then I couldn't find the place until now.

Thanks for replying to my questions.. I have so many more questions but I must contain myself.

I starting stamping a couple years ago and just love it. I stamp almost every other night and friends come over and we stamp together. It's really awesome. My husband is so happy that I'm doing this.

I'm going to be a Demonstrator next month and I'm a little scared as I am not as experienced as my Demonstrator or other people I know. I guess we have to start somewhere. (ha ha).

And you?

Hi. I'm new to SCS. I need lots of help. I am throwing a baby shower for my sister and wanted to give her a paint can (Mom's survival can) and one for the baby (not sure of the sex). I saw some beautiful ones in the gallery. Where do I buy the paint cans and can anyone give me detailed instructions? Thanks.

Talking new demonstrator

Hi everyone!

I'm Nichole and I'm new here and as an SU demonstrator. I heard about this site from another demonstrator and am looking forward to all the inspiration on this site. I'm a surgery resident, married, but no kids (yet). I'm planning my first stamp class on 1/31; any suggestions??

Wow, I've been lurking in the shadows for a while, just absorbing everything. But now I finally started posting and I am in love with this sight and all of you talented ladies. I should take a picture of my messy kitchen to prove how I've neglected the house lately!!! LOL I'm thinking of becoming a demo, anybody have any advice for me? I don't have a lot of friends who stamp, so I'd need to venture out of my circle to get started. I'm scared!!!!

I just signed up yesterday with SU and I am so excited to get started. I have starting making a list of all the things I will need for my workshops and my husband just laughed when I showed him. Oh well, I will do a little at a time and use what I already have, I want to have my first workshop in 3 weeks and I have some really great ideas for make and takes. I can't wait!

Post New to SCS

My daughter, a talented stamper, was recently told about this site.
We usually stamp together and she couldn't wait to show it to me!

I must admit that though I am overwhelmed with all the talent displayed here, I am excited to have such a resource.

I can tell I am not going to have much free time in the future!

Question Sewingmw

Hi,
I am new to your site and a fairly new SU Demonstrator. I am having problems joining the SU Demonstrator group. I have not heard any response and it has been a few days. What did I do wrong? I followed the instructions--at least I think I did. Can you give me any help with this?

Thank you

Just be patient, I subscribed and it took a few days to hear anything at all. Unfortunately I will not be a demonstrater until next month, so I do not have my number and will have to reapply. No worries babe, just be patient.

Default New here as well!

My name is Kara, obviously, and I am new here. Also to the other newbies, there is a vocabulary list on here somewhere for the abbreviations. SU means Stampin Up! Which is a rubber stamping company, SCS means Split Coast Stampers, which is the website that you are on. But anyway I am from Southern Ohio, and I make it to Columbus quite often. I have no children, but I am owned by a greyhound, a beagle, a cat, an iguana, and a sugar glider. Everyone on here seems so sweet and helpful and I can't wait to get out my first swap (from here) the song lyrics page. Should be a blast!

Hiya!

I'm a new SU! Demo..(So new I'm still waiting for my box to show up from the men in brown......) I've been a member here at SCS for a while, but haven't done a whole lot due to being busy with work and not sure where to start. Figured, right now, the best thing to do is just jump in head first! (Rubber cushions, right?)

Look forward to meeting all sorts of new people, getting involved in all sorts of new things, and learning all sorts of new ideas!

Happy stampin!

Kellie (Who is wondering where the glitter came from, when she didn't use any last night!)

Hi I'm a new demonstrator and fairly new here at SCS! This is my first post, still trying to get the hang of this I do have to say that I see some great artwork, there are some really talented people out there! I did send my subscription for the demo group but haven't heard anything yet. Its been a week today, is that unusually long? I thought I'd hear by now.

I'm really excited to join SU. I was doing another direct sales company to support my SU habit which seemed so silly. So SU here I come. I love SCS and I can't wait to get to the demo's only area. I'm sure everyone has great ideas. I am really hoping to get some good scrapbooking with SU stamps and ideas for classes at my home.
Thanks!

The processing must be done by a real person! Britta, a moderator who volunteers her time here at SCS, has to actually verify and approve each one, so it can take some time. Hang in there! She works as quickly as she can.

Welcome to SU! and welcome to SCS to all of you that are new! We're excited you are here and know you'll really enjoy all that SCS has to offer in the way of stamping, and for SU! demonstrators!

Hi all,

I am a new Demonstrator too.... I joined last month. I have had my first workhop and am getting ready for my second one this month too. I've got to say for me SU sells itself.

My upline went inactive last month. just a few weeks after I received my starter kit. I love this site. I need techniques, I am such a new stamper I don't know much. I was counting on my upline to help me learn how to make those WOW's.

This site has given me the support that I was needing. Thank you so much. So now that I am registered, I think I need to figure out how to become a member of SCS's if there is such a thing.

Everytime I go to try to learn how to become more involved, I end up in the gallery or a challenge. Then I am off making another card. Do you know what I mean? I haven't even learned how to upload anything.

Thanks so much for this site.

Hi, I just joined yesterday (or the day before). I have been coming here for a while looking at the beautiful cards and I have so much to learn! I thought I was pretty good at this stuff because I can emboss! HA! Little did I know thats just the tip of the iceberg!

I'm a SAHM and have three kids ages 8/b, 9/g, and I have a 20 year old son. Yeah...I know....everyone's eyes get big when they hear that. LOL I have been married 21 years to a man who is great but does not understand my stamping obsession. Thats probably not too surprising.

I love stamping so much I think I obsess about it I have been collecting stamps for years but never heard of SU intill like a year ago when my sil told me about it. Now I am soooo hooked I actually lie awake in bed at night thinking about what cards I could make and what stamp sets I want. Am I crazy or WHAT!?

OK, well, I look forward to getting to know everyone and hope to make some new friends! ;^ )

Hi, I am new to this site, still trying to find my way around. I tried to join the SU Demo group and I guess I did not do it right, now I guess I have to wait until the time runs out until I can apply again?

I am a SAHM of three, live in Mill Creek Washington and would love to have the chance to meet like minded addicts to trade stories and ideas with.

I have been selling SU for just under a month, mainly just trying to support my habit, now it seems to be taking off as people are asking for workshops. I have no "upline" so I am in a slight panic, hope to be able to get some input from this WONDERFUL site!

thanks, Lorraine
