Hi Lily. Welcome to SCS!! I am fairly new to SCS also. I am finding everyone here so friendly and helpful so far. I have been thinking about becoming and SU demo. Not sure yet. Do you have any advice on that? How hard/expensive is it to get started? Any helpful tips would be MOST appreciated.

Hello to All

I am new to this site and I have been demonstrating for Stampin Up for about 6 months. I have a few questions if anyone knows please respond. I would like to set up a gallery but do you have to put instructions with each project?. And how do you get the funky signatures?

I am a demonstrator with TAC don't do a lot of workshops, have classes in my home and have a good following that buys product. I have been stamping for 11 years and love it. I love all the tips, hints, and techniques here at scs. I am always running out of printer ink - now to find the time to try all the new ideas. Shirley Hotop

Hey ya'll! I'm new to SCS, but not new to stamping. I've been stamping and scrapbooking for about 10 years or so. I am a SU Dem. I love to create "things" any thing! I have a friend who has talked about SCS for a while and I finally took a look and let me tell you....I'm addicted! I love reading through the projects and ideas, looking at the gallery etc. I just thought I'd post something instead of just looking for a change!

The neatest thing that I have ever done with the pastels is something that I saw as I was ruising the SC gallery. The stamper called it the chalkboard technique and it got alot of wows at a recent stamp camp that I had. Using white craft on black CS stamp an image. I did the flowers out of garden sioloettes.(as you can see I can't spell)while the ink is still wet you apply stampin pastels by dabing them on with a cotton ball or dauber. They really pop on the black

I just signed up recently, and have had very few posts, but I find it somewhat irritating to get an e-mail notification everytime someone adds something to a thread, even when it has nothing to do with what I was discussing. Can someone let me know how to avoid getting these notifications?

Thanks

Wink Hello Lily

Hello Lily. I have been stamping for just over two years and love it. But I only started to use SCS the beginning of last week - I am totally addicted!
I love to do the daily challenges and have favorite designers who I 'stalk' (a term used for 'watching what they make!).
You can get a feast of idea's for Christmas card idea's if you go to the search tool and type in Christmas.... lots of eye candy there!!!
Have fun looking and welcome to SCS.

Default Image Pending Approval

First time poster - and I'm probably not putting this where it should go - but I couldn't figure out where else to put it, sorry. Just wondering why so many of the pictures show "Image Pending Approval" when you doubleclick on the picture, so you can't really see the details of the card. If somebody could answer that question, I would really appreciate it! Thank you! (I LOVE THIS SITE - YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST IN STAMPLAND!)

Hi, and welcome to SCS! Unless you subscribe to the Fan Club (see the home page for details), all uploaded pictures have to be approved by one of the moderators (MODS). If you see "Image Pending Approval", it just means that the MODS haven't gotten to it yet for approval.

Enthusiasm and willingness to share what you love to do will take you a long way. Congrats on your decision. Start planning now...make a list of friends and family who will want to help you kick-start your new venture. Draft an e-mail that you can sent to everyone telling them about your new career...generate excitement now!

Smile Welcome Karen

Hi Karen and Welcome as a SU Demonstrator! I have only been one for the past 3 months and honestly, I didn't think it would take off as it did. I was blessed with a group of ladies who I stamp with that has encouraged me all the wya. But I am slowly (well...alot faster than I thought) branching out and it has been so much fun.

I have met new people through the old ones and even on my own...Try introducing this to the people you work with..or at church. I actually through a Stamp a Stack and my first one was free...it was fun and I did end up getting alot of orders...I have done book parties and tried to work with the people at their convenience..I don't have alot to offer but I do wish you the best of lucK

Hi Dee and Welcome! You will love being a Demonstrator...I have been stamping a few years and just got into Demonstrating a few months ago and it is definitely different being on the other side of the table, and it is hard work..but I love every minute of it. To see the look on my customers faces when the see the project I give them and to see their results..there is nothing more satisfying.

Best of luck to you and you will love the ideas you get here!

Smile Hello

Hello, I'm new to SCS but I am not new to SU. I am not a demonstrator. I just enjoy scrapping and making cards with stamps and other stuff. I don't have a lot of time anymore to create much but I sure enjoyed looking at the gallary today on this site. Wow, there are a lot of creative and talented people out there. Keep up the great work! I'm excited to be here and maybe I can post something I've done soon.
Thanks, Pamela

Default New to list

Hi-My name is Melody Hill and I have just joined today (my husband is taking care of dinner!). I am 52 and have been married for 29 years. We have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I retired from the Army in 1994 and we now live on a 45 acre non-working farm in Vichy, MO. I teach language arts to 7th and 8th graders to support my craft habits. I started scrapbooking about 9 years ago-then started on AT's, then decos, and now-inchies! I am mainly a paper, clay, and glass artist. This type of list is new to me and I hope I don't screw it up. I'm a yahoogroups person and this is quite different. Thanks for having me. Melody

Hi Everyone, I'm new to SCS. However, I was a member years ago but lost connection for a while. I'm a card maker and make cards for my church's missionaries. I also make book marks, magnets, mini photo albums etc. Although I'm not an SU Demonstrator, I'm thinking about it. I love this site and sometimes I can get lost in here. I see some real fantastic ideas here and very talented people. Looking forward to sharing ideas.

I have begun a church-based group that makes cards to say "Thank You" to the Veterans for their service to our country.

They are hand delivered once a month in Tampa, Florida and are very well received.

Hello,

I am really curious about your magnets. Do you have pictures to share? I actually made a book mark holder for my daughter's classroom for Halloween. (they weren't allowed any candy so I had to think of something different to send to class).

I just became a SU demo and I am loving it!!! It helps when you have a wonderful upline. I was very fortunate to find a fun and crazy stamper like myself.

Julie,

I'm not sure how I got into the subscriptions of being an SU Demonstrator. Unfortunately, I'm not a demonstrator right now. Have a great day.
