Default Welcome!!

SFawcett...Glad to have you in our wonderful littel group here at SCS & SU!!!! You will find soooo much info here that it will completely amaze you!!! And everyone is so wonderful...Enjoy!

Curly Girl...I am an SU Demo, and do not have alot of direct contact with my upline, even though she lives close by. I don't have any complaints, I have been doing well thanks to my wonderful Pen Pal group of other SU Demos...I get my support there...so whether you should wait is a hard choice, if you like to have close contact with an upline, then I would wait...but you can get alot of support just from the website and here...Good Luck to you in wahtever you decide

Welcome Aboard!!

I just ordered my SU demo kit also. So, if you get any good ideas and have the time let me know. I am not very good at these forum's and threads, don't have the patience to sit and read everything. Thanks, Jenny

Hi Jenny and welcome to SU! I am a new demo also and will have my first workshop on April 21st. I have found a lot of great ideas in the gallery. I started off by looking at the listings for the stamp sets I already had to see what others have done with them. There is a lot of inspiration there.

Welcome. I understand being new! When you see a card which you like, click on it to get specific info on the creator. Usually you can email or pm the stamper and ask your questions. I'm sure most are very obliging, though responses may be delayed as many are so busy with life. Don't give up!

Hope this helps.

Actually, you can post a comment. I'm guessing most gallery artists receive email indicating a new comment on their item and will respond to that. I do.

Hi Elizabeth, I see you are from Maryland. Some of my family is there, My aunt Wanda is in Montgomery Village. I was lucky enough to visit twice. You live in some beautiful space there.
Congrats on being a new demo. I'm only 14 months into it and love it. My first WS was $650 so shoot for the moon! Good luck

Welcome and enjoy. The most fun I've had in a while. I am far from my upline so I use the gallery as a means for ideas all the time. It's a great place to get ideas on specific sets for sample you show in your WS. Have fun achieving.

Just curious. You'll still get so much use (and entertainment) from this site. I have only been on for a few days and now I dream about "food--this or that" it's a sockness. I'll be getting callouses on my fingertips soon.

That's supposed to say sickness. Not sure what a "sockness" is.

Smile New to splitcoast

I just found this website a couple of weeks ago. I am absolutely addicted. I just found all the blog links too. Blogs are a little overwhelming for me. I haven't posted any cards yet so I am very anxious to do it. I hope to meet some new people that love stamping as much as I do.

Smile Just joined SCS.

I've just joined SplitcoastStampers. I'm not a demonstrator, just a scrapbooking and stamping hobbyist. (sp?) Anyway, I am so overwhelmed by all of the wonderful cards I've seen on the website. I'm really excited to learn more about stamping and making homemade cards. I love how they look and would love to do all my Christmas cards homemade.

'Bump' is used to bring a thread to the top of the pile. Threads are listed in order of most recently 'responded to' or 'active'. If I start a thread, but don't get any responses, I may 'bump' it to keep it where people will see it readily. This also indicates to others that I'm still interested in a response.

Default Hi from a newbie

Hi

I've just become a member of SCS after being a visitor for a long time. I don't know if I am the only Brit on here!

I'd like to say thanks to all the talented people who put templates and ideas on here I find them very useful. I also find the card challenge layouts useful too.

I'm not an SU demonstrator (I don't think there are any here in the UK). I've been browsing the SCS site for quite a while but have only just become a member.

Default Hello!

I'm Ellen, I just found this website today. I'm a habitual stamper (my sister is a demo for SU), and I am always looking for new ideas, techniques, etc.

I'm 29 years old. I currently live near Ft. Bragg but will be moving back to NH in the fall since my husband just got out of the Army. We don't have any kids yet. We do have a very adorable miniature dachshund puppy named Ruby - right now she's our spoiled baby!

Smile I am new to SU and SCS

Hi, everyone..My name is Sharnette and I am a new demo to SU and to SCS. I don't know to many people, so mostly I just make cards for my family. I did do one workshop but that was with my family. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the word out, my job has a big thing about sending non-work related emails, they call it solicitation. I am a little on the quiet side because of my speech impediment and so don't know a lot of people, and I thought of doing demonstrations during break time at work, but we all break at different times so there is no one there to see them.

Well to this site anyways. Not to scrapping. I love making greeting cards and love scrapbooking.. Also love reading, bowling, spending time with my hubby and kids and grandkids and not necessarily in that order.

Default Weekly challenge

Hello, I joined SU as a demo in Feb. I have been lurking here for a few months. Wow, there is so much cool stuff to see! I have just uploaded my first two photos and am wondering how to attach my gallery to my signature. I also tried to participate in the Masculine card challenge and it would not let me. Told me I had to post at least 3 times first. I did that and it still does not let me show my card from my gallery to the challenge. Any idea what I need to do?

Default new to SCS

Hello Everyone! I am brand new to SCS. I was "referred" here by Nichole Heady, who is a very friendly, wonderfully talented stamp artist. She is the designer/creator of Papertrey Stamps. They are very cool. I have two sets already, but they are still NIB I wrote to her because I want so desperately to learn how to stamp, mostly because I have been inspired by her beautiful designs. If anyone has any suggestions, comments or in the same boat, please write me and we can go through this with baby steps together.
Post again soon!

Default Busy at work..

Wow.. lots of people in here.. I am enjoying going different places and checking out what is to offer here. I checked out Faux Stamps the other day. A friend had directed me there and they are sooo cool. IM anxious to try them. Looks like quite a bit of work but worth it in the end. ONe more way to put your signature on all you do. I made an interesting card yesterday.. It is several layers and for a graduate. I was really pleased with it.. Maybe Ill get busy and put the details on paper sometime and share them with you all.
