Same here, but I imagine they are busy because of the holidays. My upline keeps in touch with me frequently, plus there is so much information in the demo section at the SU site that it is keeping me quite busy!

I don't mind waiting, I'm just concerned that I may have made a mistake in the application process and I may not be in the queue. It sure is a lot of fun looking at everyone's beautiful creations!

The demo only part is that due to copyrights and such not just anyone is allowed to go perusing the demo side. But you're a demo so you have nothing to worry about.
Hope that helps!

Red face New Here

Hello everyone! My name is Jen. I am from Western New York. I am very addicted to SU and scrapbooking. I am signing up to be a SU demo in January! I am very excited to get started, and very glad to have found this site. There are so many great ideas from you all on here!

I live in a very rural town, but have lots of relatives that use SU products for the crafting. And as soon as I mentioned to my sister, who lives down in Florida, that I was going to be a demo, she said that she was thinking of signing up under me!

I am planning on having a stamping workshop every two months just to keep me active. I have access to our local town hall for free, and it allready has tables and chairs set up for us to use. And then I plan on doing parties at people's homes with their friends/family as they wish. I have gotten lots of good ideas from you all just by reading all the posts of things to do at my workshops, and can't wait to be able to get into the demo section to read more ideas!

I am a mother of three young children. Kyle is 8, Rebecca is 5, and Joshua is 1 1/2 years old. I have been married to my husband, James, for 8 years now. And I also have a full-time job as a nurse at our local hospital, just received a dayshift position, so very glad to finally be able to got off of night shift!

Well, that's about it for me - so very nice to have found you all!

Default New to posting on the site

I'm new to posting. I've been viewing scs postings and tutorials for many months. I'm not a demonstrator, just love scrapbooking and card making. I should be a demonstrator, only to save me money though! But then, my demonstrator would have to take a pay cut!

Default New and looking for stampable items

Hi everyone,

I am new to SC and need some help. Is there a forum or list some where that lists websites where to buy stampable items? Like plain lunchboxes, cd cases, or other interesting items. I am looking for items beyond craft stores. I am always seeing samples on websites or from other demos.

Any help is appreciated!

Default New here too

New to the SCS, not new to stamping or scrapbooking. We had an SU demonstrator for several years and then she resigned, that was a few years ago. So I decided to take the plunge and become one. Sent my paperwork in Tuesday and got my notification yesterday - WOOOHOO!

I'm not new to home based biz's though - I'm also a Longaberger consultant and Arbonne consultant ...and yes I work full time too! I have 2 kids (11 and so I still have my hands somewhat full.

Hello, (hope I am doing this right!) I am a newish SU demonstrator in Australia. I am married with and almost 9 month old boy Toby. I joined SU in October and am loving being a demonstrator. Does anyone know if it would be appropriate for me to join the Demos only section, given that I'm not an American SU Demo?

Talking Let me just say... I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!

Hello, my name is Angie & I have been scrapbooking for about three years and stamping for 1 1/2 years.

I became a demonstrator in May of 2006, as a hobby demo., but now would like to step it up a notch. I've had a few workshops, but was looking for more inspiration to grow my business. My upline told me about this website, and since I first visited the site, I can't tear myself away from the computer. I would love to hear any advice you could provide with respect to new customers.

Thank you for all of the tips, advice and examples you all have posted. I'm really getting motivated... now if I could just turn off the computer and get busy before it's time to pick the kids up from school...

I checked out the challenge using limited supplies, but even there you can use accessories.
I have to say honestly , I ended up spending about $500.00 before I felt like I had enough stuff to really demo anything that exciting to me. This is probably not normal, I am totally addicted to stamping. I am hoping to do somthing big and end up a full time stamper. With no other job I would be in my glory.

I have to admit I ended up spending about $500.00 in supplies before I really felt I could do something. This is problably not normal I just wanted to be able to wow the people. So far so good, I had open house and it went well, I met my sales plus some. I am having another get together with some repeat girls and have 2 workshops scheduled. That I am a bit nervous about. To ease the pressure, I know that the two groups will not be any of the same people so I am designing one workshop and plan to do it twice. That way I get the practice at the first and the next will be even better. I felt the same with the starter kit. If you are able get some things you would really like, and make your first order count. It is as 30% which is a great way to stock up on some itmes you love. I had to get punches, paper, ribbon, brads, etc..... Good Luck

I'd be surprised if most of us don't wish, deep down, that we could stamp fulltime for $$. I love my job (I'm a psychotherapist) but nothing excites me more than a table full of stamps and paper and a day without commitments!

P.S. I'd be curious to know how many 1st year SU Demos earn more money than they spend on new stamps!

Just saw GVAGOT's message about "looking for stampable items" (Post 462). Did anybody have any interesting ideas? I have really enjoyed stamping on tiles and dominoes, but would love to hear other suggestions from this creative bunch.
