What does No Vendor Restrictions mean? Does it mean no vendor advertising or vendors can advertise to the moon and back?
Hi there!
The phrase is normally used in conjunction with swaps. It indicates that you are not held to using products from any specific company. Some swaps are SU only, or similarly restricted per company products.
HTH!~

Hello, Newbie here. I am so glad for the list - thank you. I have so much to learn. I remember... way...... back when........(before computers) I use to write my boyfriend and put on the back s.w.a.k. I'm sure someone already listed that one, but I can't go back and read all the postings AND look at galleries all in one night.

I'm new to the Forum and was following a thread about what you most regretted buying. I found this acronym "a BIA" a couple of times and have no idea what it might be. I sure don't want to regret buying one. lol Thanks for your answers!

My son sent me a txt the other day with DW in it. Didn't have a clue what it meant. 'Don't Worry'. No wonder kids have trouble spelling these days. They just have to know what each word starts with and they can have a completely 'normal' conversation using all these acronyms. LOL!! (this can also be 'lots of love') See i'm not completely ignorant!!!
... now, what does it mean to rock and roll a card?
Hello and welcome --
In another thread, Tandra (Inkalicious) explained "Rock and roll" this way:

While a lot of this was helpful, I especially found the very first post on here the best because I was wondering about those acronyms that are used on here: CASE, DSP, Bump, SUO, etc.
If you have to really know the meaning of all those abbreviations, it would be time taking, as you need expertise to understand all of them. The more you surf, the more you know them gradually. I know only a few. Like, I know that AVATAR is the small pictorial/graphical representation of your image or your existence in a site. BRB means 'it's ok' kind of or sometimes 'Great'.

My vocabulary is also limited in this field. Lol.
Ummm BRB means Be Right Back. Acronyms are generally created using the first letter of each word in the phrase. kwim? (Know what I mean?) You are correct in that the more you browse around the more acronyms will automatically make sense to you. Some are brand names: CTMH, SU, CHF, and many many more. With others like BRB and KWIM you can kind of figure them out if you try to associate them in their context. It's almost a word game.
I tend to spell things out anyway. Know what I mean?
For a couple of the others:
Quote:
CASE, DSP, Bump, SUO, etc.
CASE = Copy and Share with Everyone
DSP = Designer Paper
Bump = verb. to reawaken a thread so that it bumps to the top of the forum. Sometimes BTT (bump to the top) is used as well.
SUO = Stampin' Up Only - generally refers to a swap or contest
GP refers to Georgia Pacific which makes a 110# white cardstock commonly found at WalMart (150 sheets cost approx. $6). It's approved for Copic use on Wish-RAk and is an inexpensive white cardstock for trying out techniques and for layering.
The link below will show you what the package looks like and also has a drop-down menu to find "where to buy" it:
