OSW - one sheet wonder

When I saw Serikastampers samples in the gallery, I didn't know the meaning of osw. When I finally found the templete, I was able to deciper.

I'll save these for future use but by the time I look it up to use I could have typed it out ten times already. DMC not embroidery thread - Drive Me Crazy.

I saw a post for BTW and it was referring to my visit to her while in her city and it took me two days to figure out what she was talking about on the home page of this charity site. BTW - by the way

The best by far is P M S (purchase more stamps) that was great Tazadecafe!

[quote="Stampin Woman"]Here is a list of specific's that i can think of that relate to stamping...

Brown - UPS

I absolutely love that a simple word like UPS is now a longer one!!! I can never keep the acronyms straight, I wish I could as I am usually typing with a lil on in one arm!

Okay, I've ready all through these posts and still don't know what "ETA" means. It's usually at the bottom of someone's post.

Does it mean "Edited to Add?" I've seen it on posts that weren't noted as being edited.

I'm so glad this thread was started. I've often wondered what all the acronyms stood for. Luckily, I've been able to figure out most of them. But this thread has definitely help. Thanks everyone.

Here are a couple that we use a lot at work...

GSI (Give a Sh-- Index). Generally used when refering to how much you care about an assignment. Like "My GSI is -15 right now" if you really don't care, or "I got a raise and my GSI went up 20 points!"

CRS (Can't Remember Sh--/"Stuff") As in you forget where you put something and attribute it to CRS syndrome setting in.

Julie
Editted to Add is what people write in after they submitted their post and have gone back and editted it. Probably, like me, they see something is not clear or there is a glaring spelling/grammar error and they want to change it. However, the "automatic editting note" doesn't happen until someone posts after your post and then you go back and change your orignal post. Clear as mud? Well, here's an example:

Like when you see a card you love, and you borrow the same basic design but don't have the same stamps or want to use the same colors - you "selectively edit" it.

I was told it meant: Copy and Steal Everything
However, I've come to the conclusion that unless I'm using someone else's acutal card/scrapbook page/handmade item without giving them credit, them I'm NOT stealing, just sharing or selectively editing.
If you go back to my original posting in Sept. you will see there is a tiny-type line at the very bottom that says something like: last time editted on Jan 28, 2005. Editted 1 time in total. That edit-line will change with each edit you do. It will up-date the date and number of times editted. Any clearer?

I saw another great accronym here...forget whose post it was:
PIMP-Peed in my pants
usage: That was so funny, I almost PIMPed!

When I figured the accronym out, I almost did.

Ok I think we missed one.... DNA which of course stands for DeoxyriboNucleic Acid!(Try saying that 3 times fast!) Or maybe it cousl stand for - Do Not Argue. It's not often used in stamping conversation... but since we were trying to name a few, I thought I might add my two cents.... great now I'm broke!

This list could last forever! Hehee

I read all 5 pages, (OK, I confess, I didn't read every bit of the super long one with billions of Acronyms, but I did scan through it alphabetically.) and I still didn't see an explanation for LAME, and I've seen it a lot.

It stands for Stampin Up!'s Sell-A-Bration, a yearly promotion where you get a free set for every $50 purchased.
