I have been away from the forum for about five months, and had taken a brief break from cardmaking altogehter. I've been bck to cardmaking for a few months now, however, but never felt like coming back to the forums. The reason is stamping is not my thing. I am totally blind, and my few attempts at stamping were miserably failed. Wanted to try my hand at embossing, but my art therapist alked me out of that cause it'd be a total mess. Is it okay if I post my cards or talk about cardmaking here anyway without doing stamps? I honestly don't know where I belong or what.

Oh absolutely feel free to do both of those. Also we have lots of fun non-stamping related forums you might enjoy under Everyday Chit Chat - you will find lots of things to chat about, play games, etc.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything!
I can't understand why your art therapist thought embossing would be a total mess. If you're talking about the kind where you use a template and stylus, I would think that would be great for you. Stamping with versamark then using embossing powders and heating it up until melted would be great also. I would think you might need someone to help you figure out how long to heat the embossing powder, but I'm sure you would learn very quickly when it's melted and you would soon be doing it without anyone looking on.
If cardmaking is something you really like to do, then I say do it! Don't we all do this art because we enjoy it, and not because someone says to do it? And who's to say you have to use stamps when you make a card? There are lots of different kinds of cards out there. Make them how YOU want to. If everyone did everything the same way, life sure would be boring!
Welcome back! I can't wait to see your creations!
