Default Hello

Hi there,
I am somewhat new to SCS. I have been with SU for 2 1/2 years and love to learn about stamping. I prefer fast and easy cards and doing classes with my customers. I am excited to learn from all of the experience on SCS.
Thanks for hosting such a lovely community!

I found this site in hopes to be inspired for some cards. I am a scrapbooker, but want to make Christmas cards. I am also looking to make a collection of simple cards as gifts for people. Ideas would be great.

At the very top of the page, toward the right you will see Gallery. Click on it and you will be there.

I am still having trouble figuring out this site....where are tutorials? Card samples? how does one find stamper's to talk to from their home vicinity? Any advice, direction would be so appreciated!

Hi Constance! So glad you're here.

You'll find a 'Contact Us' button in the left sidebar if you scroll up from here, and a site admin will help you with a name change - that's allowed in limited circumstances.

If you scroll to the top of the screen, there are buttons to guide you to the other areas of the site, such as the Gallery and Tutorial sections.

There is a section in the Forums for stamping get-togethers - that's here:
Get it Together! - Splitcoaststampers

Please don't hesitate to ask if we can help in any way!

Does every post/reply have to be approved before it actually gets released? I've never been in a forum where your replies don't show up on the forum right after you send it.

Is it a temporary thing, or is that just the way it is here?

Also, I've replied to a few things but it never showed up/didn't get approved??

Hi, I see your posts and replies. Honestly, I don't know the answer to whether the posts have to be approved but I didn't think so. On one of your posts someone mentioned attachments have to be.

You can click on your own name, and there you can see your posts, etc.

I know I haven't learned everything there is to do here, so much to join, so much to see, lots of things I don't even realize can be done but I can get things accomplished and love reading posts even from years ago!

Lydia can answer most all of your questions, she is the best!! Don't hesitate to ask, that's why this forum is so great.

No, posts don't ever need to be approved. They should be instant! Try refreshing the page, perhaps, though once you post the page should re-load automatically.
The only thing that needs approval is gallery uploads by non fan-club members. And you can't add attachments till after you've made a few posts, that's to prevent spamming.

Hi,

Am new to SCS

I tried to add a picture from my gallery to the CAS challenge and I keep getting a message that I cannot add images from an external site - but I was linking to my SCS gallery - not sure what I am doing wrong - can you help?

Hello! I just heard about this resourceful site.

Here is a problem that I am having. I used SU Whisper White paper to make a few cards. Once I folded them the fold line split.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to avoid this in the future?

Thank you!

That happens to me a lot when I use the bone folder. Try using the cutter and use the folding blade

Post Score and fold

the valley side of the score alway should be the outside, on any cardstock. The valley side is the side you score. Hope this is helpful.
