Lmorien,
A lot of us are right there with you... we all have to start with the first step and then the second and so on but everyone should understand "newbie" because we all were one at first.....hang in there... it gets easier.

Hi, I'm both new to this forum and to stamping. I hope to start learning how to make cards. LOL I've only done a lot, and I mean a lot, of shopping. Wish me luck! Oh, and if anyone has suggestions on what I should absolutely have to really get going with my new obsession please do!

Hi, TxHoneybee, and welcome! I think the best thing that you can do to get started is, if you have a local stamp store, sign up for and go to classes. You will learn techniques to get your creative juices flowing. If you don't have the luxury of a local stamp store, the Splitcoast Stampers web site has amazing tutorials to help you learn. I, too, collected stamping supplies before, during, and while stamping. Okay, I'll admit it....I still do. The important thing is to do it....stamp....to justify all the acquisitions. lol.

I have not been stamping as long as I have been scrapping but with any hobby, quality tools are important. With stamping, quality stamps, ink, different coloring materials, and of course a good paper foundation. If your paper is not a good stamping paper, your stamped project will not be as good. Good luck with your new hobby.

Hi, have just joined. Really scary!! Am from KwaZulu-Natal coastal region in South Africa. Have been making cards for about 15 years - just love the embroidery cards. Have to do a harmonica card workshop at my card guild and wondered if anybody had any ideas they could share with me. Just hope I figure out how to read any replies!

Hi, paepp

Sometimes there are no answers given because those of us reading don't have the knowledge or the information. I've asked questions and have responses posted, often directly under my post. If you don't see an answer, just feel free to ask the question because more often than not the questions are answered.

Smile Hello

Hello,I'm Bonnie
Been stamping for 10 -12 years now, and doing workshop 8 -10. I was an angel with The Angel Company. After looking at other companies, and this site, I decided to go on my own. There won't be any commissions, which I'll miss, but I can use any products I desire. Just got my order from Oriental Trading and am anxious to make some Halloween cards!
Really appreciate all the ideas and tutorials I see here.

I tried to download some digital paper, but I guess I don't know how. Any tips?:

I also don't know how to upload pics or set up a blog.
Thanks,
Bonnie
