  • At the top of this page (or any SCS page), click on the word "Gallery".
  • Next, find the word "Search" in the left column & click it.
  • Use "punch" or 'punches' as your search word.
  • Click "Go".
Hope you find plenty of inspiration!

Thank you to Texas Grammy for the punches site. Now I have another question. Is there a way to find a specific type of card/project within that site? I am looking for those turkeys, Santas, snowmen, etc that are attached to the round York peppermint patties.
I really get confused when searching the site and saving things in "favorites." After I have saved something, I have to start all over in the forum and select my topic, etc... Is there a way to go back to the page I was on?
Whatever! I will continue to explore and see what happens. How badly can I mess up this computer??? My husband is always amazed at what messes I make! Keeps things exciting!

  • When using the "Search" function within the gallery (as described in the earlier post), you can try using 2 words in the search by inserting AND between the 2 words. Example: punch AND turkey. Try different combinations to see what you might find.

  • After adding an item to your favorites, you can easily return to the previously viewed page by using your "back arrow" at the very top left corner of your screen. You might need to do this 2 or 3 times, depending on the forward movement you have made.
  • You'll get the feel of it ... be patient. The more you "use" the forums & galleries, the more you'll discover. And always feel welcome to ask.

Default tutorials

I just got a new computer and my old one had splitcoast on an icon so it went directly there. I swear there was a side bar that said "tutorials" showing how to make a ton of cards on videos. I cannot get there no matter what I click on. Was I on a different site before and cannot remember? Please help as I need to get back to those videos.

Thanks
Laurie

Smile Hello from Spring

Hi--
I am in Spring, TX and am a grandma, too. I find pretty ideas for using border punches on the website of Rubber Stamp Tapestry. They have lots of samples of cards there and I really love their stamps.

Default border punches

I like Rubber STamp Tapestry also and have bunches of their sets which make it easy

Border punches are a favorite also. I am a Virginia great grandmother.

Okay, I've tried and tried but just don't seem to get the hang of this forum thing, I never can seem to find where I've posted a message. I have received replys but don't know how to get back to my thread. Is there a recipe. I posted a note titled "looking for a stamp" and one of the ladies who replyed really helped me and I found what I needed, I sure would like to thank her.

Hi Corkey,

One helpful tip for finding what you have posted is to click on your username in bold letters to the left of the text, as in the post above this box. One of the options is to view other posts by the username. Click there for a list of items you have posted.

Hi TexasGrammy, thanks for the tip, I never knew about this, I'll give it a try. Decided today is a great day to do some crafting, we're getting snow here in Minnesota and the roads are like skating rinks, good day to just stay in pull out all of my toys and get going. Hope you have a great day too, and thanks again for the tip. Corkey

Here you go!

Creating an Avatar
  • Crop one of your favorite pics to a maximum of 80 pixels X 80 pixels. The closer to an exact square, the more accurately it will appear.
  • Save that in jpeg format on your computer.
  • Click on your name at the top of this screen.
  • In the left column of the page - Click on 'Edit Avatar'.
  • Use the 'browse' from your own computer to upload your 80x80 pic.
  • Voila! Your avatar will now appear on all of your previous posts as well as your future posts.
Please send a PM to me if this doesn't work for you.

Bev

Hi, Marge -- We're talking about clicking on your name at the upper right corner of the screen, where it says "Welcome, corkey" in orange. Clicking there will load your Control Panel, and then Edit Avatar will be one of the choices in the left column.

For anyone who is still having trouble finding it, here's a direct link to the Edit Avatar page: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...?do=editavatar

Question My Gallery -signature link

I really like the neat and tidy look of those who have just the words MY Gallery, in the signature section, how do you do that please?

I have figured out how to paste following it, but not without the pasted string could you tell me? PM is ok but I bet others would like to know and this sticky is now soooo long! thanks for your help, Dalek.

I did a search from LHS of this forum and then looked at the results found one from 2009, followed it works a treat!

Default HELP

Why is it that I've joined two swaps and try to reply and it tells me I can't. However, when I hit the reply button in this one it allows me to reply? Someone send me an email with lots of steps to go through and it does not work. What gives?

Hi Sherry,

Our "Swaps" forum is a "User Group". Here's a link (click colored letters) to the helpful information that you will need in order to successfully join the swap group and participate within.

oh ssherry! when your message came into my email i had a chuckle, a smile, a frown, a "oh - you too?, a "we will get through this".... I love your boldness and how you put your dilemma right out there. keep working with it. actually, i am speaking to both of us. for some people, i think it is easier to navigate than for others...but the people are so lovely and loving...it all makes the mishaps worth it in the end! my prayers are with you...and a hug. samara

ok...speaking of, now that my new sherryfriend was so bold...how does one just hook into their groups quickly and know what is happening "in the minute" - for instance. If I want to pop in and add something, respond [to something I am subscribed to] I go to my subscriptions, but seem to end up in 2006 or 8 etc. I don't seem to be able to find either the current moment of swap #'s or conversation. I so appreciate those of you who are so literate here...I actually envy it! [as awful as that sounds.] I have great faith I will get there...but haven't felt so bold as to type out my "can't do its." Thanks for the S.O.S. encouragement Sherry. Samara p.s. TexasGrammy - I just love ya!!!

Yes, Samara, you will "get there". Just hang in there, and you'll be surprised.
  • When you return to a subscribed thread and wish to be "in the current moment", look at the top right corner of the thread box for something like this: [quote=example only] Page 1 of 14 (This will be followed by a numbered box for each page of the thread.)
  • Click on the last number or the word "Last" to see the very last page of the thread.
  • When you click on the "title" of a thread, you are taken to the first page of that thread, which could have started quite some time ago.
  • If this isn't helpful, please send me a Private Message, and I'll be glad to try to offer more help.
