Help! I can't post any links to my cards for challenges. I keep getting messages that I need to have "3 or more posts" before I can post a link! What do I do?

Woodwinds, I'm not sure of the answer to that one. So I'm PMing someone who might be able to help, and asking them to read this post.

Hi craftyscrapr!

(1)For email notifications, go to your User Control panel >> Edit Options >> Messaging & Notifications >> Default Thread Subscription Mode. Select "Instant Email Notification".

(2) Yes, you may list your Etsy store link in your siggy. However, we ask that no promotional language be included with it, such as, "Shop Here!" or "Check my discounts" ... etc. Each member may include up to 2 off-site links in their signature. And yes, you may mention the DTeams that you are on. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for investigating this. If it helps, at the bottom of each page, under the posting rules box, my HTML code is shut off and I can't figure out how to turn it on...

Hey woodwinds,
There seems to be a few people that have problems with posting links even after three posts. We're not sure what causes it but if you keep posting you'll eventually be able to post the link - it may be up to 20 posts that you'll need.

As for HTML, that's turned off, but you can use BBCode to change font size, color, etc.

Default Adding a Link to a Post

Hi all!
If you would like to add a link to a post you are writing:

1. Copy the URL for the link you wish to create, such as the url for your new card upload. (Right click on the url address & 'copy'.)
2. Print the words to identify your link, such as ' Lazy Days '.
3. Highlight the words for the link.
4. Click on the small 'world' icon with the chain 'link' on it. (Right under the white happy face in the tools above.
5. Delete the http;// that is shown in blue.
6. Paste in your URL from step 1. Save.
7. Your words are now "linked". You can highlight & color them, add bold, or add an underline.
8. Ta-dah! You've added a link to your post!

Hi--I have finally come out from lurking around the forum. I never wanted to take the time away from reading the messages to register! Anyway, the frustration of not being able to answer a question or seek help from all you wonderful artists has finally pushed me to join. This is a great forum. Pat

Welcome! I'm fairly new as well. Yes, Texas Grammy rocks! I do scrapbooking, too. My DIL got me into card making, so now I'm having lots of fun with that.

Again, welcome...and have fun!

Hi Toni, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Brenda from N.B. Canada. I,m a mother of two and have Three grandchildren.[only one lives close by] so I have time to craft. I have done many different crafts over the years, but my heart belongs to cards. There are so many different ways to do them so I never get bored. My family really enjoys them, and saves them all. What could be more rewarding than that. As you see I like to talk as well. LOL I look forward to many more conversations.

Ha! Sounds like you need my "name" more than me! How I came by it? Do you remember when CB radios were "in"? Well, at the time, the hubby worked for a family owned grocery company called Jitney Jungle (I know...where did THAT come from). I needed a "call name" when chatting on the CB...and I came up with Junglelady and have been that ever since. Thanks for asking!

I certainly understand about that. I have been spending alot of my time trying to make sure I am doing this right because I'm not overly familiar with the computer It's kind of a learn as you go deal. I'm sure that when I become more familiar with all of the procedures I will look back and wonder why I was in such a panick. Before I leave today, I would like to say a happy hello to all of the others who correspond here as well. I look forward toreading all of your comments here. Gotta go. I need to make a card.

Just started posting to this site, which I've loved for a while now. Pretty much with the challenges and chats I can sell ALL my shoes. Meaning, I have no need to ever leave the house. Except for the occasional trip to my LSS. Of course, I have enough stuff to start my own store, but it is not new; I have a thing for new.
Thanks for all the fabulous samples, challenges, tips, tricks, and people!

I noticed that the members here are very friendly and very helpful. They make everyone feel so welcome. Help Please. Why can't i get my photo under my name? It keeps coming up with "File upload failed." I am pretty sure i've got the size correct.
I am having no trouble uploading to the gallery.

I see this was established for SU buyers, stampers and demonstrators. Can anyone join and enter the contests? Do the stamps have to be SU stamps? I've entered, but didn't realize SCS was SU only?

Hi Clari,

You've got this partially right. The Splitcoaststampers site was originally established by a Stampin Up demonstrator for use of her customers and downline. Go to the home page, click on "about" on the far upper right of the screen. This will give you information on how the site was established and how it has evolved. You'll notice on the home page there are a number of non-SU companies who advertise and whose products are featured in some way on Splitcoaststampers.

There are no contests, only challenges. Some of these challenges may indicate SU products to be used, i.e.; Color Challenge "CC". For example, this week's color challenge calls for using SU colors Almost Amethyst, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. I have seen people substitude similar colors from other companies if they did not have the SU ink or paper in that color.

So, although SU products are predominantly featured they are not necessary to use to submit your creations in the gallery.

If you go to the forums and want to participate in the swaps, the swap will indicate if a SU product is required or not. Many do not require SU products.

Hope this helps. You will find tons of useful information on this site. Have fun! Judy

Hi Michelle,

Did you find out how to do it? I keep getting the same message.

Wish I could help, but I haven't put a picture of myself in yet.
