Thanks.
PS also, what about the name under my name? where does that come from?

Hi Everyone. I'm new to this site and stamping. I bought my first stampin' up stamps a few weeks ago and am looking for ideas and tip/techniques. This place looks like it has all that and lots of friendly people.
Ladygemini, welcome to splitcoast. I am also sort of new to the site (Dec. of 07) I have found the members here to be very friendly and helpful and they are all full of wonderful and beautiful ideas.

The weekly inkling is a great place to start. I have gotten alot of great ideas from there and the tutorial is with it! I look forward to every Wednesday because I know my new weekly inkling is posted that day! Enjoy and welcome aboard.
New here! I've posted some pics of my recent projects and I haven't quite figured out how to access the part where you can add additional information into the description re: paper colour, stamps, etc. I can see the descriptions on others pages and it is nice to see. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Go into your gallery and pull up the card you want to edit. There is a button on the lower right side (before everyone's comments about your fantastic card) that says edit, click on that and you can go in and add/change etc...
Also, when you are downloading photos,it will give you the chance to do it - usually. Hope this helps a little!
Thanks for the tip! I am working on replying now. I liked your picture. Many years ago when I sold rubber stamps, a big motorcycle guy (tattoos and all) came up to my booth and found a tiny little sprig of grass and said it was just what he was looking for! It was great to know all the kinds of people enjoy this hobby.
This site is WONDERFUL!!!! I just want to thank everyone for being so helpful!!! A person could spend a year on this site & still not read everything! So much eye candy to digest!!!! UMMMMM.
I'm new too and still trying to figure things out. Can someone tell me why after three posts I still cannot share my link to my photo for the sketch challenge? arhghhhh LOL Help....
This is my first post here... I can't believe I didn't know about this site until yesterday! My work is being neglected! I can't believe all of the wonderful information.... samples... and new catalog info!
Hi There mysillyoldbear,
I'm new to splitcoaststampers, but when the administrator sent me some "how to" stuff, I came across your post with Philippians 4:6. I love that verse, and just had to reply to you.
I love stamping! Started in 2001 and have "had the bug" ever since.
Hope to hear back from you,
Thanks!

I tried to put my picture under my name on the Forum, but it didn't work. I was able to upload a picture to my profile but that picture doesn't show when I blog. I don't know why or how to get it to work either.
If you've never used a message forum like this before it can take a little while to figure out what it's all about.
The first item you clicked on, called 'START HERE' is a forum category. Forum categories are created by the administrator of the forum. :
Inside the forum categories you will find forum topics. The second item you clicked on, called 'Read Me first', is a forum topic. Topics can be created by any registered members, not just the administrator. Anyone who posts a reply will see their message displayed right beneath this one. In that way it's possible to have a conversation between lots of people and have all their responses in one place.
Try posting a reply to one of the topics in the forums, or create your own topic. If you've got any questions or have any ideas to help us improve the forum, post a message in the Reader Feedback area and we'll be sure to help you out.

hi, just new to this site, haven't looked around much, just reading a lot of your information, today however, congratulations you are the 999,999 visitor
tried to click to claim, however nothing has happened.
thanks pat M
Welcome, Pat. Unfortunately, that "999,999 visitor" is only a banner ad. Daven (in the Site Suggestions forum) would like to block that ad, but he hasn't seen it. He needs more information, including the address of the webpage that the ad sends you to. I haven't seen it, either, but if more of us keep an eye out for it and send the info to him, we'll be able to get rid of it.
Hi All, I am new to this forum but it sure does look good to me. I am just amazed at all the information I have gotten in just one viewing. Looking forward to participating more. Thanks so much!
Hi everyone
I'm new on the forum as I thought this might be the best place to find out how to even USE a die cutting machine before I consider purchasing one. I do just about everything else and want to add this to my "skillset" but have no idea where to start!
Hope someone can help?
I've been checking out the site for a while and became a fan club member tonight. I'm excited to be a part of this stamping community and look forward to becoming involved in things.
There are so many wonderful ideas for cards on here that I always find something I can case. But tonight I looked into the forums and was thrilled to see that the members really reach out to each other when someone needs someone to lean on or a prayer to help them get through another day.
I've beloned to this group for a long time but have never really posted, now I'd like to so I'm tryin my first post.
The ideas and artwork on this site is just beautiful and I just get lost for days looking at everything...lol!
Cheryl
Hello yes I am new on this site heard through my demo strater today how great this is . Experience selling beginners cards at the festival today really enjoyed and look forward to particapating in many more to come, Yeah and collecting many more stamps to come
Welcome to everyone that is new! This has to be the BEST site........you can learn so very very much from all the enormously talented women on here. Be sure to constantly check out the techniques section - tons and tons of ideas.........some nights I have to shut the computer off or my mind won't shut off with ideas and then sleeping doesn't come easy.......this was harder for me while I've been sick recently coz I had many ideas, but couldn't sit up straight so I couldn't crop or make any cards. But I wrote my ideas down in a notebook I keep........you might want to do the same thing.....so many ideas, so little time!!
Hi Brenda, I am so happy to meet new people with so much talent. I too am easily overwhelmed with all the fantastic ideas and have to ration myself. Hee hee.........Just wanted to say that I love your pug in the Avatar. I have the same dog and we just love him to death.......His name is Puggles.
That's too cute that you have a Pug too! I wish I could find someone to breed him with. I found one woman but because I don't have his papers, she won't even consider it and he is a purebred. Oh well........he's also my BIG sucky baby. Needless to say I have TONS of pics of him.........lol. I swear he's the most photogenic dog. He poses - I swear.....lol. His name is Winston and he's 2 years old. How old is Puggles?
I know exactly what you mean about Winston posing.........Puggles is such a ham too and he really loves to have his picture taken. He is 2 years old also, we got him from my daughter, but he does not have papers either. He is the most snugglie lovable dog I have ever seen.
wow my first reply, thanks for the advice, newbie here to site and also to stamping a close friend got me addicted to stamps still have lots to learn
yet to find her here though
"Bump" or BTT means that the poster is moving her/his thread back to the top of page 1 of that forum. It's generally used when a thread has finally filtered down to page 2 or 3 or more and the author still wants it to be seen.

I've been lurking for a few weeks and decided to get my feet wet posting here. I'm new to stamping/card making but I already want it all, LOL!!! I'm totally amazed by all the talent in this group and am loving everything about it!
How do I send a private email in response to someone's message on a thread?
Left click on the member's name in the left column beside his/her post.
You will see an soft button to open & send a PM (private message) to that person.
If you need to send an email, click on the peron's name in the left column. Click 'profile'. In that profile area you will find an area offering to send a message via email.
