Default HELP- SU or CTMH?

I am thinking of becoming a demonstrator and was needing advice or opinions out there on what the public likes the best- wood mounted or acrylic stamps? I am wanting to sell stamps as an income and I own lots of SU sets but I don't have any acrylic. I know- the first thing you are probably going to tell me is try them then make a decision. I am just wanting feedback on your experiences. I am not looking for a "cutdown" on either product. Thanks!

kj... I like the products and designs from both companies... however, I definitely prefer CTMH acrylic stamps and love their white core paper.

I love acrylic stamps because you can see to position your stamps. This is really nice for layering, or even to restamp an image that didn't turn out quite right. I'm a CTMH consultant, and I really like their stamps. There are other companies that make good quality acrylic stamps too. Papertrey ink is really nice as are some others. The nice thing about traditional rubber stamps is that they've been around for a while and there are really good designs available in rubber that you can't find in acrylic. I guess, in summary I love stamping. Acrylics are my favorite but I definitely enjoy rubberstamps too. So, how's that for a little indecision to go with your indecision? LOL

Hi:

I own many wood mounted stamps, but not any acrylic. I've used acrylic at classes and a current shoebox bash I attended. They are nice because you can see what you are doing. I love my wood mounts though . . . good luck!

Hi Karley, we are near Adelaide. I am actually Scottish and moved to SA July '06 with my DH and DS. There are several Aussies on the site but I am not sure how many. Lezzels is the best person to ask I think. If you PM here she will probably have a better idea and she is very friendly, as is everyone else on the site. Catch you later.

Default Hello to all.

I was given this site by my SU demonstrator and it just proves, once again, that she is the best resource to all things stampin!! I love seeing all of the creative ideas, colors, and different ways to use the stamps. Thanks for the info. and I know I will be on this site for many more sleepless nights to come! I am learning my way around and hope to get involved in some of the events.

Hi Ashlee
I've used the Stampin Up Catalog and also their web site. Another thing I've done is look for ideas where I can substitute the stampin up stamps in place of another stamp that has been used. Don't know if I'm saying that clearly but I hope you get what I'm saying.
Welcome to SplitCoast. I'm also fairly new and lovin it.

Thanks, Lorene. I think I figured it out...if you go to 'gallery' you can scroll down and find the set that contains the stamp set you want to use.....too bad I'm not getting much work done this afternoon since I discovered SCS!!

You might want to try typing the name of your stamp set in the search box in the gallery section......sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't...lol

Hi - I am just getting started. I am really enjoying what I am doing so far and would like to learn more...there is so much and I am trying to find out which way to go. I am looking for a scorer and have not been able to find one in the stores. If anyone can tell me where to look that would be great. I really enjoy the tutorials that I receive on my e-mail.
