Hi,
As I read the "Start Here" forum, I have the same questions that most new people have that are just finding this site. I see the questions, but not the responses. Where does one go to find the answers to these same questions?

Post Hello, new to stamping and this site

I went to my very first SU deminstration a couple weeks ago and OH MY GOSH...I was in heaven. So of course I took the bull by the horns and ran with it (my normal MO). I bought the stamps and supplies needed to make my very own Christmas Cards. LOL. My stamping buddy made me promise to make the cards at her house - to make sure that I actually make the cards (procrastination is also a normal MO of mine). So we shall see. I am so excited to find a website where I can learn more about stamping techniques and also share ideas about the stamp sets I buy.

Smile Awesome Site

HI,
This is such a wonderful site. I found this by searching on the web. Have just started with SU products and card making. Daughter got me started when i went to a card stamping get together. So much fun and this site is so awesome.
Still navigating and learning.

The gallery is still here. You need to click on gallery in the upper right hand corner. Good luck.

Hi! I am new to all this. I am about the least creative person you could ever meet. But I went with one of my friends who does scrapbooking to a SU! make & take and had the time of my life. Since then (Oct) I have purchased a few sets of stamps, cardstock and embellisments to make my very own Christmas cards this year. I love it but find my cards are way too boring. I love this site and the gallery is awesome for me to get ideas. I may join in on a swap once I get some stampin sets since I only have 2 right now. I have to build up my inks too. It is gonna take some time but I am not in a hurry. I received a SU! card last year for Christmas and thought it was the coolest. So now I am trying to create my own really cool cards.

Thanks!
Annie

How do you put a link to the bottom of your emails or your profile on this website? I see that lots of people have one that says My Gallery and the link takes them right into their page. I can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks!

Default Picture under your name in forums?

How do you get your profile picture to appear with your name on the left side in forums? I saw that someone else asked this but never found an answer.

Hi everyone! I am new to this site and to the forums. I am not sure how to view answers to messages (I think they are called posts?). Does each message have separate posts? I am a fairly new Close To My Heart consultant and I am loving this site for neat techiques to use with my clubs! This website is taking my stamping and scrapbooking to a whole new level! I can see how this is addicting! I too would like to know what a thread is. Happy New Year Everyone!

Smile What is a Thread

Hi, Ladies

I believe a thread is simply a string of connected posts. For example, our messages are all connected and when you open this "thread" you see all of our previous posts. So, Colleen -- I, too, and a CTMH consultant. Really just a "hobbyist" consultant. I only do about 4 or 5 workshops a year, but between those, my own orders, and my repeat customers it keeps me well above the required minimums and suppliments my own stamping and scrapbooking addiction. The products are awesome. So good luck with that. I'm located in Pierre, SD. I agree that the Splitcoaststampers site is awesome for techniques and ideas. Happy New Year!!!

Talking Just back from a Crop!

Seriously crops are addictive. Now I am hyper and can't go to sleep! Everyone else is dead to the world and I am ready to zoom around, but have to be quiet so I thought I would try out some more posts to see what all you can do with the fonts. As a scrapper I can't stand to see a plain ANYTHING!

Thanks for the info, Sadie! How long have you been a CTMH consultant? I have been scrapping for about 4 years- but always did just the layouts in our workshops. Now I am going crazy because there is so much I want to do! I am starting to measure my hours in increments of scrapping time!

Smile CTMH

Hi, Colleen

I've been a consultant almost exactly for 4 years (as of Jan. 3rd.). Prior to that, I had been a stamper doing hand made cards for several years, but had never ventured over to the world of scrapbooking. Then, on December 20th of 2002 my first grandchild was born and suddenly I knew I needed to become a scrapbooker. I've been at it ever since, and now I also have another grandchild so there is no lack of subject matter. I just LOVE this hobby. It is not only relaxing and downright fun, but I am creating a legacy of memories for my family, which is something I don't have. This aspect also makes it seem like truly important work. I still do my own cards and attend various classes at our local scrapbook store monthly. So I hope you like the new Spring Idea Book. I'll be doing a workshop sometime in January for one of my very good customers, which should be fun. I think I'll probably use one of the techniques I've picked up from the Split Coast web site. I classify myself as "not greatly creative, but I've learned to copy really well"!! Take care, and Happy New Year!

I'm a new "poster" too!!! The Cuttlebug thread drew me in and I've learned so much! Thank you all for the great info. Today I made several card fronts with my swirly embossing folder. I used white 51/2" x 4" cards and they are beautiful! Now, I am going to embellish them with die cuts, ribbon, etc. I love this Cuttlebug!!!!

I have a question about finding something. I was reading on the home page about the Dirty Dozen's Roll with the Punches. How do I find that gallery? and while I'm asking, if I wanted to see gallery postings say, for two days ago, how can I find those?

Thanks.
